I picked up a Attakus Boba Fett statue when it came out. I can't remember what they retailed - was it like $200, $250 or something?

And then I see this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=154&item=7931280080&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Is it really worth $1100 now? Are Attakus pieces hot all of a sudden?

What happened to get this price surge. I used to follow its value but forgot to check in a while.

I just saw that r2dtoys.com in the UK is selling Boba for over $1200.00. Looks like those are rare and popular right now.

i dunno i personally dont own any Attakus statues but i would luv to have some of em...if i could afford them of course!

i think the value of the statue is pretty fair...Not only are they HUGE but they are relatively Limited...i mean the US only got 500 or so of a 1500 LE...so i guess u can say they are border line extremely limited... And i guess u can say that goes double for Series 1 and 2 for attakus statues cause not only did these come out ALONG LONG time ago but these were also rare if not more then the newer releases!

hope this helps. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I guess I was just shocked how much they are going for now. I had no idea.

I actually own a few of these and they are very nice, huge and heavy. Price wise they fluctate a bit, but the first series goes for the most. Vader is about 1200 bucks, Boba was around 800 until this last one seems to have pushed it higher. In my experience if you buy them when they first come out they are not to bad in price. I got my boba for 225. Most of the others were also around that price. My Vader and Chewie were both 400 buck. After yoda I have to stop because Attakus keeps jacking up the price for each new series.

The first series definitely have taken a rise in value over the last year or so.

I bought a Han Carbo on eBay last summer that I'm still not sure how someone else let it go. I paid $100. It goes for like $200-250... easy now. I got the Yoda from series 1 for a steal of $120 and it now hits anywhere from $500-800... depending on the time.

All the Attakus I have bought so far have gone up it's insane. I wish I had bought the series 1 Vader though... I could've had him for just under $350... http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I ordered the Padme one today. What kind of box do these come in? Can I see it without opening it? I usually open my collectibles, but since these seem to be going up in value, I may have to keep this one sealed.

I can only speak for the first series - they came in black, fully covered boxes - no windows.

They still come that way. No window box. I think its a waste to purchase these unless you display them. Just my opinion.

I fully agree on that. Keeping any statue in a box is truly a waste. From Attakus to GG busts to the old Legends line.

We pay far too much for this stuff to keep in a boring box. Statues and the like usually don't go for much less than a "min in sealed" box specimen. Aside from that if you never open the box how would you know that the piece inside is not broken in anyway? Not chance I'll take...

I even sell all my busts or statues "unsealed". I have had some customers ask why... but I like to check them out and make sure I am selling a product that is as described. I don't want to have to deal w/ a return later from a piece I might not be able to replace to the customer.

Thanks for the info. I had planned on opening it anyways since I agree that this is way too much money to spend on something that I'll never see. Plus even collectibles with a display window look much better when opened up. I hope it gets here soon. I opted to go with overnight, but SWshop.com hasn't shipped it yet.
