Just thinking- Almost 1 year to go. I remember when episode 1 was coming out after 15 years. The anticipation was unbelievable. I have to admit that episode one left me a little empty. Don't get met wrong I live and love anything star wars but it was missing something. Come on George, we all know the story but its how that story is told that makes the difference between good and great, between legendary and ok. Please don't disappoint us george. Please give us one last movie that has all the magic of the original trilogy. I hope you have gotten it right. You have fallen in love with CGI and less on character development.
please let us leave the theater wanting more. What do you folks think being almost 1 year away? this is the only official countdown on this forum LOL http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yeah, I agree 100%.. He definately has a dependency on CGI. I don't blame him necessarily, but at the same time, why does the plot, character development, and dialogue have to suffer at the expense of CGI? It shouldn't have to.. I hope the next one is great also...

Right with ya, Grandpa! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif I am looking forward to this movie with the utmost anticipation! This movie will be the pivotal moment to see if George redeems himself and makes the PT a good trilogy...or not. I do so hope it is the former. If the latter...well, let's just not think about that. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I think George Lucas ought to go back and watch his early 80's interviews he did for the documentary 'From Star Wars To Jedi'. In it, he talks about how almost all sci-fiction movies suffer because filmmakers place too much emphasis on setting and environment rather than story and plot. Almost ironic that the PT films have been driven into that realm.

To quote GL, "A special effect without a story is pretty boring thing." (Pretty darn right!)

Til next report...

Yeah, can anyone say AOTC?

hopefully Ep.3 will pan out with the whole story deal that was lacking in AOTC.

While I am very anxious, I'm a bit nervous about whether or not Episode 3 will be the redemption the PT needs. Come on, George, you can do it! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif
