View Full Version : Why we love it here

Yeah, this was spurred by another thread. I finally realized what it is I like so much about csw.com. The fact that the webmaster actually talks to us lowly forum dwellers. Go to another other website (but come back here, of course), and the webmaster won't give you the time of day, but BP is always scanning the forums, and replying.

It's the "people part" of this site that makes it the success it is. Both from BP, and fellow members who are always willing to help, trade, and just talk.

This wasn't started as an ***** kissin' thread, BTW, though it sounds like it.

I like it here because it's much more personable than the other forums out there.

I feel I'm among friends here and it's nice to see that the threads here are always being read and replied to and that we can communicate with each other very easily.

Over at Yak's Forums, I like posting there as well but there's something about the people here that make this "place" a nice one to come to. I can post here and almost always get a thoughtful and intelligent (not to mention correctly spelled and punctuated) reply.

Speaking of Yak's, I've been posting there since June 6, 2000 and I have something like 327 posts where as here I've been registered since October 31, 2000 and I'm already at 147+ posts. In the space of two months I'm getting close to my # of posts at Yakface and seeing as I post here quite frequently I'm sure that number I have at Yak's will be beaten in no time flat.

In short, I like this site because of all the cool people here and how we can communicate like we're all old time buddies http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

I started posting here first because of trading. That was a fantastic experience in itself. I can't begin to tell you haw many great things I've gotten from fellow BHCers.

When I started to poke around in other areas, I found something that I didn't find on other boards: acceptance. On a lot of other boards, if you are a newcomer, you have to "prove yourself" before people will talk to you or take you seriously. Even though we have our old regulars and our newcomers, everybody treats each other with a common respect. It makes one feel good to be here.

It's also nice that most of you use good grammar, too. http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

I agree wholeheartedly! I mean, I've only been here a little bit, but I can tell easity how comfortable everyone is around each other...I've even made a friend already (*waves to sithblade316* http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif ) Years ago, I used to frequent BBS's at college, and this has the same comfortable, easy feel.

So, the loyality I've seen on other threads is heartwarming. (Gettin' all mushy here) It's so rare that you find a place on the internet where you feel like you fit; it seems that place has been found. http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

...a tear wells up. Someone pass me the kleenex. Please join me in a chorus of Kum-baya.

I'll bet Captain Pancake has a differing opinion.

(We're short on female members. Got it? No shortage of male members though. Hmm, maybe I should rephrase that.)

I like it because there's always lots of responses. It's nice to just pop in here and take some time answering questions and posting stuff to hear what fellow SW collectors have to say!

This is a One Of A Kind web page; the forum members, BP. Everyone´s so friendly, from the moment I registered here, I knew I was among friends.

Where, oh where has all the singing and dancing gone? It's gone the way of Prohibition.
