Is it worth it to get the book for $40?

I RP online with my Statesmen here in Bama, we don't use any of those ridiculous mind-boggling statistics or anything. We just make a character, and post as our character would react.
If you've got some friends locally who know how to do it, and who do it a lot, I don't see why you shouldn't try to learn to play, but I enjoy simply writing out RP's rather than throwing dice and checking health points and all that.

Yeah I've done the re-act role play online before too. Hey, would you be interested in getting something together online? That would be a lot of fun and I'm sure many would want to play...just how would we do it?

I want to be a Blue skinned Twi'lek Jedi.

I guess I might be able to RP with you and whoever you scrounge about. I see your already writing rules, etc on it. I'd like to see the rules your writing...
You could maybe register a forum at Gamers.com, and then roleplay in your own forum, with a website to match, or what-have-you.

The RPG books are great..even just for the "read" factor without playing the game.

I personally just collect and read them.

I play the RPG with my friends and we have a blast. Yeah, the 40 bucks is worth it, IMO.

I haven't played since the West End Games version, but I bought the New Jedi Order Sourcebook. It's a good read even if you don't play.
