I just recently "acquired" (was given it by my brother) a very early edition of Star Wars: from the Adventures of Luke Skywalker. The coolest thing is on the back...the star wars logo has the early "W" variation where there is a large triangle taken out of the bottom of the "W".

on the inside cover it says Copyright 1976 by the Star Wars Corporation. it is a book club edition (it says so), and includes the lengthy prologue "from the first saga, Journal of the Whills" it's just a cool piece and i was curious as to the distribution of it. is it really all that early of one? I don't really care about it's value, as it's just neat but ANY more info would be great.

it's a del rey book. i can get a picture if it's needed.

thanks,
ryan

Ryan, I have the same book, only mine is not the book club edition. Everything else seems the same, including the 'W' on the back, but just how 'lengthy' is the Prologue in your copy? Mine's only 1 1/2 pages. As far as I can tell, this was the first publication.
