I don't why I never noticed this before, especially when she's hanging right on the wall right behind my monitor;but has anyone even noticed that her saber is upside down?Whats the madness behind that?As far as I know, everyone else's is upright..Any thoughts on this?

If you want to believe the video game Jedi Power Battles, it's cuz she weilds her saber upside down.. a cool method if you ask me, but perhaps not the strongest..

Her lightsabre's like that 'cause it's Star Wars, and Jedi chicks that wield their 'sabres upside down rip! http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/tongue.gif

I think Hasbro was trying to show off the extra paint they put on the handle.

I'm with brew on this. In addition to Jedi Power Battles, she is portrayed in the comics wielding her lightsaber in the same fashion. I kinda like how it fits in with the Kurosawa influence.

Well I dont do any reading of any sort, but if that's what you guys say,I will take your word for it..I have to say it does sound silly to me though.I just don't see how they would be able to fight properly with holding it like that..I guess I would have to see it done,in order to better understand..

I think that's how the Japanese samurai used their swords, there's a lot of fast power in the slash, but I think it takes a lot of skill to defend with this style.

JT,thats exactly what I was thinking to,that it would be hard to defend.I think I can agree to the power in the upwards slash method, but back to the defend part we go though..

In the movies I've seen where this style is used, the fighter moves around a lot instead of keeping still and defending with the blade. In a style of fighting where unsheathing the sword can be the final blow, I have a feeling there are a lot of alternate techniques in defense. http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/wink.gif

More importantly than her lightsaber, what's up with her voice on the commtech? She sounds like a female HAL from 2001 Space Odessy. I hope she doesn't sound like that in EP II.

Commtech SUCKS, in case you weren't sure about that.. http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/wink.gif

If CommTech chips were any better than they are, they would not be packaged with $6.99 retail action figures... http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/tongue.gif

I think the CTC design is cool, it's Hasbro that sucks by releasing them with crappy voice actors and using the lower-tech synthesizer on the reader instead of the better one.

I think Adi's lightsaber is very cool. Nice detail too.

I agree with Jeditricks. I like the CTC design and concept. But yes, the voice recordings were bad, plus most characters say things that were not in the movies (or not completely accurate at least).

GL just wanted to change things up so he had a jedi hold the ls upside down.

I thought I would add that I have some comic art that depicts the woman yoda-like creature (Yaddle) fighting in that same style. That is, with the lightsaber facing down. I think they do so more when they are attacking from above if I'm not mistaken...

I wonder how Yaddle would attack from above. I think this style of fighting requires an arm that's nearly as long as the blade, so in the comic, was Yaddle's saber really short or did it stick way out behind her?

Actually, she used the old force jump to gain the height advantage in this case. Didn't the promo for that jedi video game show them doing the same thing? I seem to recall an clip of Adi-Gallia or Mace or someone using the force jump to come down on top of one of those battle droids...
