View Full Version : Clearance Sale for the Soft Goods Waves?

With the glut of product showing up on clearance at TRU and KB, what are the chances we will see lots of swimming Jar-Jar's show up for $1.97?

Looking at the fact that TRU is getting in TONS of the R2 with Holo Leia cases, I'd say pretty good actually.

I nabbed a Swimming JJB at Wal-Mart when he originally came out but if they come out at $1.97, I'd definitely score a carded double.

I'm sure we'll see all of the "rare and hard to find" figures show up at every TRU and KB that's out there.

I know I wouldn't mind scoring doubles of the Admiral Motti wave, which I'm sure will be everywhere really soon.

I also scored them at Wal-Mart when they first came out. I would also say it is a good chance that we will see them soon at TRU or KB-Toys.

You people in the states should consider yourselves lucky!
In the UK we've not had any POTF2 Commtechs officially realeased yet, and all I've managed to grab is Vader, Luke, han, Leia + Motti. OVer here I've never seen Queen battle, Swimming Jar jar, Qui-Gon soft goods plus a few others. It doesn't look likely us getting POTJ either!

Never seen anything newer than the Captain Panaka wave http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/mad.gif

Thomas,

When and if you go to KB again, do you think you could keep an eye out for a Swimming JJB for me please?

My KB's in Phoenix have gotten alot of figures but since they're so cheap they last no longer than five minutes on the pegs and once I get around to looking at the pegs all that's left are Maul and JJB from May 3rd.

I would be VERY grateful if you could pick up a Swimming JJB.

I'm kinda new to this whole collecting thing, so would you guys mind clearing up a few things for me? What exactly are soft goods? Does anyone know where I can get the Power of the Jedi figures in Canada? And also, can you guys give me some suggestions of good online auctions and websites where I can buy figures for decent prices? You can respond here, or email me at lukejediknight@home.com
(And how do you make the jump from apprentice to Bounty Hunter here ? http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif )

SO very many questions, my young Padawan... http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

First off... allow me to welcome you here to the BHC (Bounty Hunters Collective). Collectors both new and "seasoned" are welcome here.

"Soft Goods" refers to the cloth parts of the figures. In this case, two Episode I assortments contained figures that had "soft goods" - Amadala "Battle" had cloth paints, "Jedi Master" Qui-Gon had cloth tails of his shirt, etc.

POTJ figures are not yet available in Canada thru the normal retailers as of yet. Some comic shops in the Toronto had them the last I checked, but they run about $20 cdn. - twice what the U.S. pays http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/frown.gif .

The best way to get new figures, like the POTJ and "soft goods" waves if you live in Canada, is to TRADE on the "trading" page on the BHC. Items that are in Canada and NOT in the U.S. are things like Episode I figures that speak FRENCH instead of English. I traded for a whole bunch of those already - very cool!

Lastly, one becomes a "Bounty Hunter" after 50 posts here on the BHC under the same username. I messed my old username up after 471 posts, and I am an "apprentice" yet again! http://www.collectstarwars.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

Feel free to e-mail me with any more questions. You can e-mail people by clicking the "mail" icon about a post - the address will be listed there.

May the Force be with you!
