Hey everyone! I'm new here although I've been posting here and there for a few days, so I thought as a way of officially introducing myself to ya'll I'd show you guys my very small collection that, despite being crappy and extremely limited, is one of the most important things I own. I'm a street musician in Seattle so I rarely have extra cash to spend on toys, therefore I have a rule concerning my collection: I never buy anything and only add things that people give to me as gifts. Even if I had a lot of money to spend I'd probably keep it that way, because now my collection only consists of things that are intrinsically sentimental to me, and every piece in it is associated with the person who gave it to me. Some items have even been passed down to me by my father and have been in the family for over 40 years...

Here it is in all of it's glory (sorry my camera phone sucks)

This is one of the first Star Wars toys I ever received for Christmas 96 or 97. Notice the custom burn marks on the nose and engines. Those damn blasters always break off, and I even tried to put it back on to no success. Very sad. Can someone tell me whose x-wing this is? I could never remember.

My favorite ship/toy. Still have the tiny pilot too :)

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m220/Space_Opera/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_121922_zpstn3oafb9.jpg (http://s105.photobucket.com/user/Space_Opera/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_121922_zpstn3oafb9.jpg.html)

This was given to me by a friend of a friend who was mentally handicapped and passed away recently. He was super nice to me and had a decent collection of vintage toys, and as soon as he found out I liked the millenium falcon he insisted I take it.

I found this laying in the street by my car on the night my high school GF broke up with me. It was actually kind of a comfort at the time despite it being broken. If anyone has a spare canopy for it let me know!

Scout trooper was one of my favorite actions figures, and besides yoda is the only one I have left from my childhood. Im kinda sad about this. I really miss my 97 Boba Fett figure, like, a lot.

Given to me by an army vet I met at an air show circa '99

Great memories

Im not really a comic book guy but this was given to me with suggestion that I actually read it and it's one of my favorite SW comedies.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m220/Space_Opera/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_122003_zpszegeq5ui.jpg (http://s105.photobucket.com/user/Space_Opera/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_122003_zpszegeq5ui.jpg.html)

This comic was given to me by my friend who loved Darth Maul and wanted me to read the unofficial story of his return. This came out way before the CW and the design of his legs was used for the show...

Pretty cool comic IMO.

These were given to me as a birthday gift from my dad

I really loved celebration.

This is one of my more prized possesions. It's an original patch from '78 that my dad gave to me. He also has the original blue may the force be with you buttons.

My only legos and I love them. They came with the landspeeder too, a christmas present from dad once again.

The art of AOTC which I saved from a flooded house in Seattle. The owner died and I was helping clean out his house.

This was my dad's destroyed original print of the art of Star Wars. The cover is missing but I will never trash it because I spent countless hours staring at the pages of this book all throughout my childhood.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m220/Space_Opera/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_123428_zpstimljsxf.jpg (http://s105.photobucket.com/user/Space_Opera/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_123428_zpstimljsxf.jpg.html)

Same thing goes for this original sheet music book which was also my dad's

here is an unfinished drawing I did when I was 9. I'm still proud of it.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m220/Space_Opera/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_122921_zpsraz7fsiv.jpg (http://s105.photobucket.com/user/Space_Opera/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_122921_zpsraz7fsiv.jpg.html)

This is a Darth candy dispenser that was given to me by my old boss back when I worked in entertainment. It says lines from the movie when you press the life support box on his chest. It's also one of my favorites.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m220/Space_Opera/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_123035_zpsaemhnxab.jpg (http://s105.photobucket.com/user/Space_Opera/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_123035_zpsaemhnxab.jpg.html)

This was given to me by my sister for Christmas about 4 years ago. Its absolutely amazing and filled with pure nostalgia.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m220/Space_Opera/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_123547_zpsfphoqjck.jpg (http://s105.photobucket.com/user/Space_Opera/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_123547_zpsfphoqjck.jpg.html)

This is a flier for a privately owned Star Wars collectors shop in Aberdeen, Wa that I used to visit as often as I could. The place is completely filled from floor to ceiling with Star Wars stuff. It's one the coolest Star Wars locations Ive ever hung out at.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m220/Space_Opera/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_122325_zpsnsxoz1gz.jpg (http://s105.photobucket.com/user/Space_Opera/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20141101_122325_zpsnsxoz1gz.jpg.html)

And lastly, this is both the ugliest thing in my collection as well as my most cherished. This was given to me on my 21st birthday by one of my really good friends who committed suicide a few weeks later. She was an amazing person who found my obsession with Star Wars incredibly entertaining and this was the last thing she gave me. RIP Dee!

As you can see, this is probably the most pathetic collection out there but it's less of a toy collection and more a collection of people I miss and love, and it's one of the most important things I own.

I hope you enjoyed viewing my somewhat underwhelming box of Star Wars junk and I can't wait to see some of your awesome collections! Please post some links to your collections so I can associate everyone with their most prized possessions!

You have some very cool stuff as well as lots of great memories of what you have. I can see that this collection means alot too you.

I also love your artwork. that's very impressive for a 9 year old. perhaps you should have looked into the art field?

the X-Wing you have is the Galoob Action Fleet Red 5 X-Wing (Luke's). it came with a removable R2-D2 and Luke Skywalker in X-Wing gear. I hear you on the guns, I have the entire Action Fleet line-up of X-Wings and at least 3 of mine have broken laser canons.

Wow, with all the sentiment and personal connections behind everything in it you have one of the most unusual and best collections I've seen. Priceless. Thanks for sharing it! :)

I think you have a cool collection too. I started collecting Star Wars toys in 1977-78 and things that mean the most to me are items that can never be replaced, like pictures of me opening them or an item that brings up fond memories of playing or trading with my friends. A few of the items like the drawing you did and the patch your father gave to you can never be replaced-never get rid of them!!! Thanks for sharing.

Dude, don't ever put your collection down. It's not what you have or how much, it's what it means to you, and from what you've shared, it means a lot to you. That's all that matters. Thanks for sharing your memories.
