Has there been anytihng mentioned about SS and the 1:1 line at Comicon? With the announcements of some of the 12" stuff Im really excited to see what they have up their collective sleeves... Let the speculation begin!

1) Hansicle!
They already mentioned that it would be forthcoming,....just not when!

2) Stormtrooper
3) Clone Trooper

If they go with pristine/clean versions of 3PO and R2, they are going to have a problem. Period.

Sideshow's Stromtrooper 1:1 bust will look like a totally inaccurate banana alas. I'd rather get an uber accurate original mold fan made helmet and a chest armor (maybe even shoulder bells) and make my own bust. Similar price better quality. 1:1 armored busts would go well for CGI symmetrical clones but not for the Stormtrooper

To see what I mean look at the SDS Stormtrooper bust:

You can make a much cheaper version if using fan made armor and helmet. And will look much better then SS bust. Wish I had some extra space to get me one of these busts with armor.

Thats looks really good... I for one would like a total symmetrical Stormie instead of a "wonky" bucket.... I like my stuff more of how it would be in "real life" than screen accurate.

I'm not into the 1:1 line, I am kicking myself for not getting Grievous when I had the chance. But, a 1:1 scale bust of a Tusken Raider would be VERY hard for me to resist! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oooh... that it would... but only if done with cloth, leather and metal, not polystone

Again, if you don't mind non-licensed stuff, you can make your own Tusken mask from a kit that is out there. Here's mine:

You could probably add the breathing canister fairly easily.

God damn! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/ooo.gif That's beautiful! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anakin probably has one similar in his closet at the Jedi Temple. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That is really sweet.... what kit is that and where do I find it? If I can do it myself it would be that much cooler... AND cheaper!

That kit looks amazing and probably not that hard to make. What's the price?

This is superb!! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif Many fan made items will look better than licensed stuff. But also some people cannot go into fan made stuff considering them inferior, because of the lack of plaque, COA, nice art box, the LFL logo and other non-important trinkets. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I agree! Teach us in the ways of making! How? Price? Where do you get the materials? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thanks for the compliments! The kit creator's name is Godzilla. The kit is second to none.

Here is his original For Sale Thread (http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=propsclassifieds&Number=4017898&Forum=,All_Forums,&Words=&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Main=3804996&Search=true&where=&Name=12159&daterange=&newerval=&newertype=&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev=#Post4017898)

I don't know if he is still making or selling the kits.

Sergiu is correct. Licensed items have a certain appeal over fan-made stuff. They are official. They have plaques and cases and Certificates of Authenticity.

But fan made stuff can have uber accuracy, and attention to detail that is impossible for factory produced items.

Myself? I like both. I try to have a mix of licensed and fan made stuff in my collection. The MR Stormtrooper helmet just doesn't look right to me. But it is so well-produced in its sturdy, solid, fiberglass construction. I love it for those reasons. It's a well made piece, despite that it doesn't capture the look 100%.

That dose looks awesome!!!!! All I have is licensed stuff. I've got nothing against fan man things just haven't had operationally to pick anything up. This, this I would buy. How much did it cost ya? If you don't mind me asking. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif
