View Full Version : Jakks WWE/TNA (plus a relentless plug!)

So who's a fan?

I used to be into them from Bone Crunchers, to Titan Tron Live, to Ruthless and Deluxe Aggression...some good figures in there. I've recently re-discovered my love, and have made a few animation videos with the premise of "what if Bret Hart and Kurt Angle hated each other?"

That's my newest one, please check it out.

Anyway, which figure or figures does everyone remember? Anyone have any favorites?

Gotta say, my favorite Bone Crunchers were the two-pack of Owen Hart and the Rock, and the Superstars 7 Undertaker with all the tattoos and bigger, bulkier body.

Whatcha gonna do brother?!? TNA Wrestling's Impact toy line is off and running and now it's got the power of Hulkamania to get running wild! How do these compare to the basic Jakks figures from WWE's yesteryear? Well you might be surprised.

That Hogan looks good, but Jakks needs to stop making the Deluxe figures with those short, stubby, ballon-bicep arms. Hopefully, the torso hinge joint isn't as bad as it was on the WWE DAs, those things would get loose in no time (and that's just from doing some posing, not even hardcore playing). I also wish they could finally get the height scale in order....why is Amazing Red the same height as Hogan?

I picked up some of the Jakks TNA Ruthless Impact figures last night at Walgreens (I'm pretty sure they're the only ones selling them). For those that don't know, these are in the Ruthless Aggression style as opposed to the the wider released line, Deluxe Impact, which are in the Deluxe Aggression style, which were larger (and sometimes, oddly proportioned) yet more posable figures. I've always preferred the RA figures, myself.

I picked up Sting, Jay Lethal, Abyss, and "M" (Suicide). The other 2 in the set are Kevin Nash (way too short) and Kurt Angle (I have 2 different Kurt's already, and don't really want one with the stubble beard and balding crown look). The best part about these: Walgreens has been selling them for $6.99, or 3 for $13.99 for the past few months, but they currently have a sale where they're buy 1, get 1 free! I picked up 2 in one WG, got a $2 off coupon for my next purchase, went to another WG (the first didn't have any Stings, which was the main one I really wanted) and got 2 more, and used the coupon. The 4 wound up costing me $13 and change, total. As for the figures, they're all pretty good, but have a few flaws- the major one being Abyss (who is the tallest guy in the lot) is actually the shortest figure. Jay and Suicide should have been a little shorter, too. They also didn't come with any accessories. Overall, they're all pretty good figures, especially for the low price. If anyone wants to see pics, I can post them later.

It's time to bash some heads and drop some elbows! Today we're stepping back into the ring, but this time it's the smallest ring around with a look at Jakks Pacific's new Micro Impact Series 1. These tiny dudes are under 3 inches tall, but don't call them short, or you might end up getting pinned for the three count!

Check out the full review featuring the rare releases of two figures that won't see another release...

I wish Jakks was still making the BNB Figures.

I was elated when I saw the TRU exclusive Bushwackers tag team figures. They were my fav tag team back in the 80's. So that was pretty cool, Others that I like are from the TNA line with Sting and Velvet Sky. Those are pretty nice figures.

I don't really collect the figures unless I am going to meet the performers, and get them autographed. That's the extent that I collect them.
