View Full Version : GG Kenner Vintage Line - NEW 12" Figures?

I spent many, many hours playing with (and thinking about) the classic Kenner figures during my childhood. I always wondered, "Why didn't they make a Sandtrooper figure? Or a Cantina Band Member? Why didn't they make a Tarkin?" And so on.

Would there be interest if GG were to CREATE a handful of new vintage-style figures? The ones that Kenner "forgot to make?" These would be done as limited exclusives (in the vintage style, of course) and not part of the regular 12" line.

My wish list would be:

Slave Leia
Sandtrooper
Cantina Band Member
Dr. Evazan
Han Stormtrooper
Rebel Blockade Runner Trooper
Ephant Mon
Oola
Duros
Grand Moff Tarkin
Garindan
Hermi Odle
BIGGS

Thoughts?

Added Biggs to my list.

Turbo, looks like only you and me are interested in these.

I'd really be more interested in buying those in the 3-3/4" scale. I'd love for GG to get into -that-.

Nah, I would rather they stick to figures that were made. That being said, a Garindan would be pretty hard for me to pass up.

Perhaps in a higher quality plastic, with laser precision paint apps, that would distinguish them from the originals? Not sure about doing all new sculpts in 12" though. Might be a bit of a gamble.

No, I don't mean doing re-treads of the existing 4" line. I mean -new- sculpts in the style of vintage figures in the 4" scale. New 4" Tarkin, Wedge, Biggs, etc.

I'd like to see them scale down the original vintage large size figures to a 4 inch figure, now that would be very cool. Although the figures with the cloth would be vey difficult to copy at a smaller scale.

If GG started designing their own figures, wouldn't Sideshow be pi$$ed?

I think they would be.

Has there been any word on the 3rd 12" vintage figure?

I've heard Han and Chewie will be next.

And I suppose Hasbro would plotz if they did the 4" line, so...
