I realize that this is just simply a yes there are plans answer and does not indicate when but this would be very cool especially if they included lights.

From the most recent Q&A answers.

Q. Any plans for a Premium Format version of Han Solo in Carbonite?

A. Yes!

Yeah, they have been saying that and it is about time, but that would have been nice for the 30th anniversary of ESB.....that or a 1:4 Han/Luke on Taun-Taun PF.

This would be cool and it would tie in nicely with my Millennium Falcon collection focus.

A Hansicle PF would be sweet -but I'm holding out for a 1:1 scale.

Whoever makes it, gets my $.

Yeah, the 1:1 is coming.....albeit most likely 2 or 3 years off, but they'll did it.
I will definitely pick up a PF version.
I'm glad that 'Hansicle' caught on....I've been saying that almost a decade now! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Wonder how much this will cost? I'm assuming electronics in this for sure.

A week or so ago I submitted a question asking if there were any plans for a 1/4 Han in carbonite. I don't think they answered my question though, because I also asked if there was a chance for an ESB Boba PF.

Lately, I'd been thinking about getting the 1/6 Han in carbonite, so I'm glad they confirmed a 1/4 version. I will gladly wait for that one.

Probably around the same...the electronics for that would not be too difficult. It's just little LEDs along the side.

I'm still waiting for the 1:1 version with proper lights and controls on the side!

As cool as a PF Hansicle would be, I'd be more tempted to just save the money for an eventual 1:1 release. I wonder what the price on that would be... http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It's a ways off and it will probably cost around 5K or so - done right.

I think I'll be getting a new car first. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It could be less, but done right with all the working controls and lights, I would think it will be sort of a standard life-size price for their 1:1 pieces. Somewhere between $4k and $6K.
Who knows. Now, they're saying they are making a 1:1 Clone Trooper, let's see how detailed it is and how much they are going to charge for that....

The 1:1 Clone Trooper was mentioned during the panel at last year's Comic Con. An in progress pic can be seen at the end of the Sideshow slide show (say that 5 times fast) at the bottom of this page: http://starwars.com/vault/collecting/news20090724.html

07-10-2010, 09:19 AM
Oh yeah. I forgot about that.
I hope it is not a generic white Ep. III Clone.

07-10-2010, 11:01 AM
An updated 1:1 Hansicle doesnt need all the armor, and plate molding that say C-3PO, R2, or any trooper needs. Aside from a working panel, it should be a straight cast with the details filled in.

I don't want to give Sideshow any ideas on price, but I would guess around 5k also.

07-10-2010, 11:08 AM
Right, but it needs a proper texture and weight to it, along with the detailed side panels and lights. The cheapest I could see them offering it is $3k, but I would think they would try and hit the $5k if they could since they already set the bar around that price for Star Wars 1:1's.

Regardless of price, they should just make an absolutely film and prop-accurate replica. If that's the case then I'll spend the rest of my life going after it if I have to. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If its a EPIII clone, Im not interested...

For a Hansicle Iím well covered with the 1:6 scale environment I already own. I just donít have the display space for a 1:1 like that.

Yeeaahhh .. love this one too (the 1:6 carbonite).

I guess with 1:1 .. would be really nice to make one part of the wall (where this statue will be hung) .. with full Jabba Palace theme .. dear .. dear .. how much would that cost .. aaggghhhh.
