Hey all,

I found this Ernie figure at a flea market a few years ago and bought it to use alongside my Palisades Muppet Show action figures, since the scale is pretty close.

I'm interested in finding any other Sesame Muppet characters made by this same company, especially Bert, but unfortunately I can't find any manufacturer info, just the words "Henson China" on the sole of one shoe, and the letters L and R on either foot.

If anyone can tell me the name of the company that made him, and what the specific toy name on the package was, that would help me in tracking down more characters.

Thanks,
Alex

P.S.

Someone said they thought it looked like a restaurant premium because it was small... must have been a bad angle on the other picture, so I took this one with some other Muppet toys for scale.

Palisades did make a Sesame Street line along side the muppets I think only the first wave was ever made each character came with some accessories, a letter and a piece of Sesame street. IE, Steps, Lamp post, streetsign, Trash Can
Nice Score

I think Super Grover was the only figure ever released from that line.

Yes, you're right. Palisades planned to add lines for Sesame Street and there were even hints of such properties as Muppet Babies and Fraggle Rock, but unfortunately the company ceased to exist before those became reality. The rest of the Palisades Sesame Street line only exist in prototype form.

UPDATE: Over at the MuppetCentral forums, some folks said they thought this Ernie was made by Tyco, sort of a 'My First Action Figure' line. Only three characters were sold: Big Bird and Elmo were the other two.

So, no Bert. Dang it.

I saw two of the unreleased Palisades Ernie figures on ebay. One was BIN $4999.99 and the other was $2799.99. Both offered free shipping. What a bargain.

Yes, I saw those as well. The funny thing is, if it's the seller I think it is, he never seems to move any of his old Palisades stock at those prices.

Okay, I got another Sesame Street toy off eBay, so if anyone can shed light on this one, please let me know...

I got this Cookie Monster thinking it would be too small, but when it arrived it was actually slightly too large.

On the soles of his feet can be found the following info:

Right foot: "26440060A, COOKIE MONSTER, (C)1980 Muppets Inc."

Left foot: "26440060A, K. T. C., Made in H K H_17"

Anyone recognize a toy manufacturer called K.T.C.?
