Great, here I am on vacation without my pc-to-mp3 cable and a three hour drive ahead of me. Figures. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Happy Birthday, Jorbex!

Anyway, I listened to the show and thought it seemed like they had more news than time. I wish they could've spent more time talking about the new clips from walmart.com. I would like to hear what they thought about em

You're not missing much. I boycotted walmart for about my full time in highschool. My local one was a dirty junkyard of trash and boxes.

Anyway, you don't have to go to one to watch the exclusive clips they have on their website. Anyone outside the US can find them on Youtube

I think Jimmy overstated the fact that I went bonkers about the BDW album. I merely filled a void in finding out some information for the show. Not so strange, is it?

Great point Jason made about Daniel Logan possibly playing the role of a young Clone in the live action series.

Never thought of that scenario.

I still can't get over Jason being willing to run down a list of business execs (do they have fans? LOL), but totally bristling at the mention of a rundown of KJA EU characters.

Well, given that Kyp Durron is a jerk and Daala is an evil controlling dictator, I can't say I really blame him

Cool show.

Regarding Jason's Cry session about the Jabiim reference... ROTS Novel came out 4 years ago, the second Battle of Jabiim, was shown in a Comic much earlier than this. The Comic is EPIC, one of the best. It's not like the EU came along and destroyed Jasons Clone Wars Dreams, it was made and published long before TCW... If someone doesn't research things in the Continuity, That's cool, but when they think it hasn't happened then they found out it has, you spoiled your own surprise party lol, It's not a 4+ year old Comics fault.

there is an EU, an EU that is official unless George changes it, get over it.

Love you guys BTW!

Stove references a lot of the EU in the ROTS novel and his other EU novels (Traitor, Shatterpoint and Shadows of Mindor) also do this as well.

He's not like Traviss who makes her own fortress and locks people out. Stover actually talks to fans and doesn't force authorial intent on his novels, instead allowing us to make our own conclusions.

Oh no, I said his name, I sent the Matt-signal. Chances are he'll come in his Matt-copter to this thread and give us a quick "Hi". http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Great show guys

Bit more on Battle of Jabim, its was a great story. Basically Ani and a group of padawans are on Jabim with the locals vs the Seps. The padawans all get killed in a massive battle and Palps orders Ani/clones to leave, which turns the populace against him/republic.

The story gets picked up in Empire with Luke going there to set up a rebel base. All goes well , until they find out he is the son of Anakin it all kicks off again. They still blame Ani for leaving them and the Seps destroyed most of their civilisation.

Keep up the good work guys, you keep me on target every week http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Great show, as always. I don't particularly follow the EU either, (probably less so than Jason), but every time Jason gets mad about it, it feels awkward and squirmy. He seems out of character in these moments, but luckily finds himself again quickly. Or fakes it well.

I would like to see whatshisface play a teenage clone or ten, that's a great idea. Boba Fett too, of course, depending on what age the character it supposed to be at that point. Too old, and I'd rather they use the guy who played Jango, or at least his voice, and have a lookalike to wear the lid. I actually still don't want to see Boba's face, even though we theoretically know what he is supposed to look like now. He's cooler that way.

Now where's the picture of this gal who can speak Ewokese? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh man George Krstic is one entertaining witty, hilarious and intelligent guy!!

I love this dude. Bring him back and often.

I also found Jimmy extra hilarious in this show and really on.
Jason seemed extra witty and on as well.

It was an amped up show IMO - Fantastic.

It was interesting to find Jimmy openly commenting on Jason's DELIVERY of EU comments as evidenced in this show. After all having strong unchanging opinions and communicating them with great passion and conviction is very different from glibness. And unfortunately I think thatís what people are reacting to and not really the ideas at all. As a long time listener and virtual friend of his I find this one small weakness completely tolerable but I donít think the average casual listener and EU fan is feeling very welcomed into the FC community lately. Itís ironic because that kind of comic book guy elitism is what Jason parodies so well. I don't think it's as bad as all that of course but would not want newcomers to get that impression.

Okay...where oh where oh where are these Robin William interviews on Audible.com? Specifically the George Lucas one, but any of them besides Jeff Bridges? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif

That comment of George's in that interview about novels and films is rather interesing. I have to admit when he spoke of "mediocre books" I immediately thought of Dan Brown.

BTW, I tried to register for Audible but they don't accept a Paypal account as payment. I don't have a credit card and there are some people who don't have one that don't live in a cave on Dagobah. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Katana - Traviss talks to her fans as well. I've sent several emails to her and each time I have received a very nice and personalized email back. They weren't generic letters either, both referenced the questions/statements in my original emails.

I was actually at the panel at Dragoncon where George was at. It was pretty funny cause no one, but the moderator knew he was there so everyone was being honest about their feelings. I had just said the issue that I had about the show and the next thing I know the moderator was introducing George.

George if you read the forums I love the direction the Clone Wars is going with it becoming a little darker in the stories. Now if you guys could make the Jar Jar episodes a little less slap stick (maybe have him grow up a bit after accidentally killing that one senator in the episode where they crash land and have to save Obi/Ani) that would be great. I have to agree with others that the best stories are the ones that don't involve the main characters. There's more drama with characters that you don't know if they will survive or not to the end.

Keep up the good work Jason and Jimmy
