Well here is the scoop. The Majestic is having a midnight showing, but not when you think. The midnight showing will be Wednesday morning of the 21st, not the 22nd. Now we all have to decide if we can make this or not. Plus to top it all off, tickets go on sale tomorrow morning.

I'm in for it. Sign me up. So I'd suggest everyone try and score your tickets tomorrow for Indy at the Majestic for that 21st showing. This would be for the CHG to show up in full Force(pardon the pun) :-)

Hold the phone. we are not going to this showing. We possibly might do the midnight showing on 5/21-5/22 at Southshore or the Ridge. We won't find out until tomorrow. You can go to the first showing at the Majestic if you want. We are kinda pissed that the Majestic ruined our plans for the first midnight showing on 5/22. Some people now can't see it because we thought we would have off. We will keep you posted on what we are going to do if you want to meet up with us.

As if they weren't expensive enough, Starwarsshop.com just raised their shipping prices:
Purchase Amount Shipping Charge
$1 - $15.00 $6.95
$15.01 - $25.00 $8.95
$25.01 - $50.00 $9.95
$50.01 - $69.99 $10.95
$70 - $79.99 $11.95
$80 - $99.99 $12.95
$100 - $149.99 $13.95
$150 - $199.99 $15.95
$200 + 12% of order subtotal

Utterly ridiculous... They really should go by weight. If you order ONE expensive item that weighs 6 ounces, you'll get reamed! IIRC, all of these prices are $2 higher than before, except they added a new tier of $150-$199.99, and now charge 12% over $200 (used to be $11.95 from $100 to $199.99, and 10% if over $200). It's still probably cheaper to split your order into 2 orders if you go over $200 though...

This seems strange. I checked their website, and not only is their midnight showing on Tuesday night, but they are playing Indy all day on 5/21, the day BEFORE every other theater. It doesn't make sense...

Ya. We know. That is why we are boycotting Majestic for screwing up our plans. We now cannot go to the midnight showing because Jerry can't go. We are going to go to the midnight showing at the ridge or southshore. They are at least having the midnight showing on the right day. For some reason, majestic is showing the midnight showing a day earlier. Good for them. I hope they are happy that they screwed our plans up. We will go to a real theater to see Indy.

Let's aim for South Shore if that's OK. I know I'll be extremely tired at 2 am and don't care to drive a far distance to get home.

FYI to everyone, Tom and I called the Majestic and talked to the manager, just to confirm the Tuesday night showing. She said there was a computer glitch, and it is NOT Tuesday night. It is Wednesday night at Midnight, same as everywhere else.

I would think Ultra Screen would be the only way to properly view Indy

Tom_Wesell

The ultra screen is too big. I seriously do not like it. I would rather see Indy in the best theater in the area: Theater #5 at Southshore.
If anybody bought tickets at Majestic for the Wednesday 12:01 showing, you better check to make sure they will get you in. The manager said they will do their best to compensate whoever bought tickets for the bogus day. We told the majestic manager that we are still going to see it at Southshore.

Is there still intrest by anyone on going to see Indiana at the Ultra Screen? I'm just asking becasue of the various views on where everyone likes to go.

Thanks http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We bought our tickets for the midnight showing at Southshore today before we saw Iron Man.

I am sorry that we decided not to see Indy at the majestic. We were trying to make this a CHG event, but it looks like it might be falling apart. If anybody wants to join us at Southshore, that would be great!

Hey all I'm sorry I can't make it with you guys but my wife and I are planning to go the opening week. Midnight shows and babysitters don't mix.

Anyway, I just noticed that the only Milwaukee area THX-certified theaters are at AMC mayfair. WTF?!? The old Ultra screen was THX. Marcus sucks.

I think I am going to see Indy 4 at Mayfair this week. What do you guys think? You kinda have to see a Lucasfilm production in a THX theater.

Theater #5 at Southshore is THX certified.

I am going by THX.com maybe it's not up to date.

Maybe it failed the latest inspection...

I will call today and see if it is still certified.

OOPS! Theater #5 is no longer certified. Darn! It was at one time though. I still would rather go to that theater instead of majestic. And as for AMC, most of their screens are small. Maybe I haven't seen the big screen at Mayfair.

Anyone from Madison planning on seeing it on opening night?

Mayfair has several screens as big, and some bigger, than South Shore. I like seeing movies at Mayfair... The big theaters are right up front, close to the concession stand. When they have free movie previews, they are usually in those theaters.

Just bought my ticket online for the midnight showing at South Shore on Wednesday. We shall see you there!

What time are we all meeting up? I need to get a power-nap in!

I think 10:30 is the magic time. We will let you know if we decide to change it, but I doubt it.

We should call to see how many tickets they sold earlier in the day. If they sold a ton, I suggest earlier. If they haven't sold many, I suggest 11pm. I want to sleep as long as possible...

Ya. I suppose we could call to get a status on the number of tickets sold.

Well, great seeing everyone last night. I was a bit over-tired last night. I think I am turning into an old man. However, I'm doing kind of ok today considering I got 4 hrs of sleep, if that.

I am interested in hearing what everyone thought. For me, it fell a bit below my tame expectations. That's just me. I would really like to see it again wide awake though.

Indy was just OK. I rank this one the worst of the Indy films. Some of the stuff in the movie was too lame. Like Mutt swinging through the trees like a Tarzan. That part was horrible. I also didn't buy Indy surviving the bomb blast on the test site. Plus those little groundhogs, or womp rats were kinda dumb also. Indy also needed to use his whip more. Maybe Harrison can't get it up anymore.

I agree- maybe it woulda been better if we had just stopped after the last cursade- this film was a huge let down to me

Tom_Wesell

And another thing that I never thought of. Indy never shot his gun.
