I had to pull an early run to Wally tonight (again ), but like the past 2 nights nothing was out on sight. Nothing by the baby section either.

Dude, at this point I hope nothing comes out till next week after Christmas...

Nothing tonight.

In fact, Both the WMs I check first are experiencing poor sales and low incoming merchandise (2 palets/half full the most). The sawgrass store even picked up an extra truck because the Lauderhill WM was overstocked period! Weird, must be the economy.

TRU had to cancel a truck last night and tonight's came late!

I do plan to check tomorrow and sunday nights. That's it!

I wish I would've caught the glimpse of just one pallet though, I blame my strikeness on the time I been going out.


Like Bryan said earlier though, there were some figures scattered throughout the store that weren't there before the nights that I've checked. So maybe they are receiving those trucks, but are just being put at wee hours. I hope not.

Just a note:

At every years end I go through all my reciepts for SW items purchased.

I noticed that the Exclusive WM Saga II wave did not hit our stores till January of this year (while they were all over the place at Christmas 06 before they hit FL).
Funny, but it reminded me of being just as concerned about that wave as 7.5 this year.

Seize, It might be possible that we will not see these till mid-late January after stores due post-holiday inventory.

I still plan to check 2-nite and 2-morrow nite.

Funny story:
I checked the Cattleman WM on the way to work yesterday morning as I usually do. There have been 3 different people working the toy dept. as of late, all of them really nice. Two of them will tell me if stuff came in and open the boxes for me, while another isn't a jerk, but does give me a hard time about it. I think this guy complained to his manager about collectors coming in over night, which I guess they do get quite a bit of them, and opening cases. Now, anytime I have opened a case, I only took what I wanted and left the others in the case;never did I just dump the figures out(Which some collectors may do, I do know for a fact that the HotWheels guys do it because I have seen the aftermath)and leave a mess. Hell, I will even put the remainder of the case on the pegs for them and take what I want and the box to the checkout. Anyway, this one guy was following me around yesterday morning when I was looking at the pallets. He started talking to me as I was looking, although I wasn't really paying attention to him as I continued walking and looking over the pallets. He started to tell me "Yeah, our manager is really starting to crack down on you collectors, they are tired of you guys coming in and buying everything up and opening cases. They are gonna call the police if they catch you guys doing it and have you escorted from the building, plus I beleive they are gonna ban you from the store". I was just like 'OK', whatever dude. I do beleive that they may get upset at people dumping product out(I don't blame them, I would get mad too)but telling me you are gonna call the cops;ban me from the store?? Give me a break! I have been going to that store for years, and I do mean, years and opening up cases. Sometimes even in front of managers;what are they gonna do? You CANNOT discriminate what one person buys versus another when you are a commerce store open to the public! If it is on the sales floor, they cannot tell you different, legally. I just thought that was kinda funny that the guy would say it. He has complained to me in the past, "Uhh, please don't open the cases, it throws off our inventory" "Those have a street date" "I'm sorry, I can't legally open that case for you"
It's a conspiracy I tell ya!

Alrighty, I'm heading over to Naples today. I'll check as many stores as I can, but I doubt it's going to be fun seeing as this is the last weekend before X-Mas Day. Not fun at all. I'll be there for a week or so, and then I'm up in Peace River. Sieze, I'll let you know if I find anything, and if I find something for you, I'll buy what I can (I'm f-ing broke, surprise). If you or Rahilio find anything whilst I am away, I'd be most appreciative.

I'm not sure if I'll have internet, but there's a chance I will. If not, happy hunting and Merry Christmas.

You've just gotta love the power-tripping minimum wage scum! I had the same kind of run-in with a Wal-Mart employee around here recently- accusing me of making messes all over the place and all. So i just quit shopping for Star Wars there for a while and shifted my hunts to where the employees are more helpful.
BTW- I don't know what's changed, but lately Target people have been super cool. They've been more than happy to pull stuff from the back and re-stock the shelves lately! Maybe it's the holiday spirit kicking in?

I grabbed the TIE Bomber today while doing some last minute Christmas shopping. Still had a lot left at the Target on Bird, but I dunno, went for it regardless. Maybe later I'll grab some more ( I see a clearance coming).
