    Star Wars ANH Activity Books

Does anyone remember or still have the early Star Wars activity books?

I was given them prior to ESB and recall that they had puzzles, stories and even recipes for Star Wars related food. I also recall them having some Mcquarrie-type drawings in them (x- wings in hangers etc).

I'd love to see some scans if anyone has any? I don't know if these were a UK only release as my memory is fairly sketchy when it come to the details.

Yep, I still have them. I have the activity books with Chewie on the cover, one with Darth on the cover, a ROTJ one with Luke in poncho on the cover and a cool one from ROTLA.

My favorite part of the Darth one was this picture of Darth it said to stare at without blinking for 30 seconds, then look up at a blank wall and blink rapidly - Darth will appear!

I also remember that you could make a Darth Vader "bust" from a salt can by using the cut-outs from the book.

I do remember the vader on the wall thing

Do they have any mcquarrie art in them? I just remember this great scene of pristine looking x-wings lined up in a hangar.

Check these out. Yes, I have too much time on my hands. I did not see any McQuarrie stuff in my books.

    Whew!

I've got all of them from my childhood. Just flipped through them the other day as I came across them cleaning off my library shelves.

    Those books seems amazing.

Just found out somethig spooky. I did focus on the Darth Vader picture on the monitor, and when I clicked back to the list of threads, I could still see the Vader face on the monitor severel times.

Those are the two I once had! I'll have to try and track some down.

Thanks for the great scans big al, they really have brought back some good memories

I have thought about completing a run of the activity, coloring and pop-up books as well as school supplies. I have some of each, but I am not sure of a definitive list of what was out there.

See there is so much vintage to be had, there is no need to collect modern toys! (with the exception of VOTCs)

I still have my Artoo Detoo's Activity Book from my childhood. I misspelled "Tatooine," but I was only a youngling.

Vader, I challenge you to a game of horseshoes. A game of horseshoes!
