Star Wars Lee Wards Rug Hook Kits

These are really neat and I forgot they existed until I saw the sample scan from Gus's upcoming Star Wars books. I had the Stormtrooper when I was young but it got dirty and tossed out.

Does anyone have any scans or such of the original rug mats before the yarn was added? I would love to give a crack at doing one of these but I know the sets are pretty scarce. I figured if I had the color code, I could just get the yarn packs and I'm good to go.

Or...I would start it, get frustrated, and my wife would finish it. Heh heh.

Anyhow, if anyone has any information on these, let me know!!

    Bobby,

Although I can't help you out with original mat scans, we do have a vast number of these rarities (produced by Manton) featured on the SWCA. I've provided entry links below for you (you may have already seen them) and for other collectors who may not be familiar with these due to their scarcity.

    C-3PO
    Chewbacca
    Darth Vader (Full)
    R2-D2
    R2-D2/C3PO
    Stormtrooper
    Yoda

    Manton also released pillow kits:

    R2-D2
    Darth Vader

Yeah, I checked these out some time ago. These are awesome. Working on my MOC 96 often becomes such a focus for me that I forget all the other really great peripheral Star Wars items out there.

Just as much as the toys, items like this remind me of the childhood Star Wars experience: wallpaper, suncatchers, rugs, bedroom trash cans, etc.

I'd love to get the pattern for one or more of these so if anyone out there knows of one, please let me know.

    Bobby,

I think I might have some instructions for these in a stack of paperwork at home. I've got quite a bit of unsorted paperwork, so I'm not sure when I'll come across them, but if I see them I'll let you know and can make you copies.

I think even just the boxes are cool, let alone the actual product. I would really like to have these.
Always on the lookout for more Fett items!
