181st TIE Pilot
Paint Apps: The paint apps. on this figure is very good. It’s accurate to the comics and has a good deal of detail for being a pack-in figure. His jumpsuit is black with the torso area being white. There are red stripes going down the sides of his clothes and all the little buttons and buckles are painted.
5/5
Sculpt: The sculpt on this figure is the same as the SAGA TIE Pilot’s. There’s wrinkles in the clothes which add realism and there’s a good amount of detail too. My only complaint is the head sculpt. It’s not very accurate and looks rushed and uneven. The head is also sculpted almost looking up and since his head sits on a swivel joint, you can’t push it down.
3.5/5
Articulation: This figure has a swivel neck, swivel shoulders, swivel right elbow, swivel wrists, swivel hips, and bal-jointed knees. This figure severely lacks ball-joints. With 10 points of articulation, it’s fine for piloting a ship but not as a standalone figure. Thankfully, it’s merely a pilot. However, that does not excuse it.
3/5
Accessories: This figure merely comes with an Imperial blaster. Very bland but for being a pilot pack-in, I’m surprised he came with anything at all. Not bad.

181st TIE Interceptor
Paint Apps: The entire ship is grey with the wings being black on certain areas. Much like the pilot, there are red stripes going down the sides. Also, on the back, there are 2 red dots and one yellow one. Along with that, there are 11 red X-Wing silhouettes and 8 Y-Wing silhouettes painted on the front which is very neat.
5/5
Sculpt: Based on the Vintage mold, this release merely upgraded it with a new, more accurate hatch and the removal of a battery pack. It looks awesome! However, my only complaint is that they did not update the cockpit.
4.5/5
Accessories/Features: This ship comes with 2 wings that you snap on. They can be shot off by pressing the buttons on each side of the pod. It’s a nice feature and doesn’t mess with the sculpt. Also, of course, it comes with a cool TIE Pilot too.
5/5
Value: For about $45, I think it’s worth it. It’s an EU vehicle but also an awesome Imperial TIE. On top of that, you get an EU figure to go with it.
4.5/5
Overall: This is a great vehicle and comes with a cool pack-in which is a rare occurrence. Get it if you find it!
