Darth Scherm\'s Walls of Madness (Updated 6/15/07)

There is a bit of a mixture here with the Gentle Giant stuff, some Sideshow 1/4 Scale and finally some Master Replicas. The Gentle Giant Bust collection is complete as of this time, will be picking up the SDCC exclusive next month. Hope you all enjoy, it's been alot of fun tracking all this down.

Those sure are classy looking shelves you have there. Where'd you get them at?

Well, I absolutely love those mini-bust shelves. Maybe my favorite set up that I've ever seen.

Very nice. I'm also wondering about the shelves your GG busts are on.

Re: Darth Scherm\'s Walls of Madness

Sorry for the long delay, I've been at CIV for the past week.

Thank you very much for the kind words about the display. It has taken about a year to get to this point, with several moves and switches to get it just right (at least just right for me)

The Floating Glass shelves were actually ones I found on clearance at Home Depot. The were made by Rubbermaid and were originally white or brass in color. Some sanding, and coat of primer, and some gloss black makes a huge difference. The others are Detolf's which are well known about.

As for collecting, I've been a life long collector since the vintage came out when I was a kid. Unfortunately due to some unscrupulous person at U-Haul I had about 100,000 dollar collection stolen while it was in storage in 2001 while my wife and I waited for our new house to be built. This included all of my vintage stuff. So I have only been collecting again since 2001. I've really been pushing hard for my GG collection over the past 1.5 years. I started kinda late, so I spent alot on some of the clone busts to complete the collection.
