    Feed problems!!!

Hey guys! Love the new version of the Forcecast, I am almost caught up will all the episodes.

BUT... the last two episodes on the feed are screwed up. The new microcast and the episode from the 4/13 are messed up through podtrac so all I am getting is redirect.mp3.

FYI, I use Juice as my podcatcher.

    Thanks

Have you tried pointing your podcatcher at http://feeds.feedburner.com/tfnpodcast ?

    Re: Feed problems!!!

I've had problems lately on RSS for my PSP. I had a few failed attempts this morning. It said 'server error' and when I tried to redownload the address it said the feed was currupt! 'contact the publisher'
Eventually it worked. Agh, the thought of not getting my prefered weekly dose of everything Star Wars...er, and Indy4, but I don't mind.

Yep, I have been using that feed link the whole time. I even get the redirect.mp3 when I go to theforce.net and do a save as on the direct link. What I have been doing is copying the whole link, deleting the podtrac part and then downloading from the base url. Kind defeats the purpose of RSS but I get my content.

    Thanks

I've found the feed really useful mostly. The only problem I've experienced is that it takes a while to update.

FYI, when I copy the feed address into IE7 it shows redirect.mp3 as the filenames for the last 4 episodes.

Hey guys... Just letting you know that this is still a problem. Is anyone looking into this? Am I the only one having issues with juice? Am I the only one using juice?

I know feedburner had a similar problem last year with an embedded enclosure setting...Maybe this is along the same path? Thanks for looking into this.

    Yo Darth Moog,

I hear ya' on the technical issue and I hate to say it, but we haven't heard any other complaints. It must have something to do with Juice. Perhaps your best bet is just a simple Right Click/Save as on the download link. All of the ID3 tags are set and you're mp3 player will read them just fine.

What is actually happening? Or not happening with Juice? Is the feed just not updating?

    Re: Feed problems!!!

Hey cool, it's one of "Da' Men". Hello, love you guys.

I've had to do a modified right click/save for a couple weeks now. For me, the "Download and Listen" link (Asian girl holding up the ipod) for the show is currently http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect....ast-051107.mp3 If I do a straight "save as" (in firefox) it tries to download the file redirect.mp3. I have to paste the url into a download manager and delete the podtrac portion of the link up to the question mark. Only then do I get the correct file.

In Juice, the past 6 shows are listed (April 13 and beyond), but each of them are listed as 15.5 MB files called redirect.mp3. The link to each file in juice is http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/tfnpo...5/redirect.mp3 with a different 9 digit number for each show.

I know when it starts downloading the junk file that it is time for me to do my little dance to get the new show, so it works out, sort of..

I've had no problems with your feed for several months, and then this just started happening. From time to time, feedburner will jack up one of the 50+ podcasts I subscribe to, so this is kind of an old story for me (Woo new media... ). Thanks for your help.
