Recent Acquisitions - Yo Joe Edition

Yeah I know that feeling. I got it when I found Wave 5 (sans Destro), and Waves 2 and 3 Comic Packs.

They also had the two new 5 packs. The Snake Eyes/Red Ninja and the Cobra Night Watch. I actually wanted to pick them both up because they looked pretty good (for army building), but chose not to because I didn't want to spend $50+ on them. I wish they would be around long enough to hit some kind of clearance, but that would take an act of God with how popular these new JOEs are.

scored three comic packs this weekend: Crimson Guard and Scarred Trooper, Capt. Ace and Wild Weasel and The Drednok set.

Sadly I couldn't find the Tomax and Xamot set

I didn't see the twins either, but there was quite a bit there today. I'll be checking back tomorrow in case they didn't have the room to put them out today and they're there tomorrow.

The scared trooper's name is, oddly enough, Scarface. I don't know why Hasbro chose not to put that on the package. I don't think his real name was ever mentioned in the comics, but when he was mentioned, even by Cobra, it was Scarface. But, I don't have the comics in front of me to verify that so don't hold me to it.

I think its great you guys are finding all these joes. Unfortunately here in Dubuque, IA they haven't put a new figure on the shelf in weeks. Target, Wal Mart, and Shopko suck here!!!

I haven't posted in the G.I. Joe forum, yet, but I've come to the realization that I'm more excited about the 2008 Joe lineup than I am about the 2008 SW lineup.

I am with you Lunchbox - I am cutting back on SW pretty heavily (I hope) from here on out. The Joe's are far more exciting. I have all of them that I want to date except for Armored CC.

Only one I have passed on was Lady J because I didn't like the head sculpt. I am pretty peeved about the upcoming BP with her in it because that is the one I want - but not the other stuff!

picked up Torpedo at Toys r us. It did not ring up so the clerk took it back to the isle and wrote the number on the figures card
