Cleft Lip and/or Palate

I'm wondering if anyone else here was born with or have a family member or friend that was born with a cleft lip and/or palate?

I was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, I was blessed with an awesome surgeon, so my speech is really good, and my scars that show on my lip aren't too bad. And I was just wondering who else is a fellow clefty around here

I was a member of a Cleft lip/palate message board, but everyone there seemed so down on life and full of self pity. Have any of you who are or know a clefty see the same thing with some of the other clefties?
