Have an open mind. The movie features Oscar-worthy performances. Plus, gay people are not something to be afraid of, but a group of people who help make this country more diverse and interesting. I applaud any man who is proud to be gay. Thank you for making the world a better place.

My wife Netflixed it and asked me if I wanted to watch. I told her I wasn't really interested in a new Cowboy love story, no matter who the characters are. I don't particularly care for them when it's Kevin Costner or Sharon Stone or some other modern actor trying to remake the western . With very few exceptions (Maybe Unforgiven), modern cowboy movies are boring to me. Give me a John Wayne movie instead. And by the way....the outfits he used to wear are a lot more colorful than anything the two brokeback guys wore.
If it means a lot to her that you watch it, then watch it. Don't worry, you're not going to turn into a [censored] or something. That happens when you watch and enjoy Hugh Grant movies.

If you don't want to see a movie just because it has a gay theme then don't. It is 2006! Watching a freakin film will not "turn you gay" or make you any less of a man.
If you don't want to watch something, then don't. Just don't "judge" something based on an overall theme.
