Great! I don't think you'll be disappointed. Enjoy the Walking Carpet!

I have both, and I love them. I still have yet to meet a GG statue or bust that I didn't like. The Scout will obviously be easier to get for awhile, but Chewie has been really easy to find for a long time. Plus, the Chewie breaks really easily. I still love mine though, and I think both are phenomenal.

The tips of Chewie's fur, parts on 3PO, and often times the peg on Chewie's foot does not go all the way into the base. Overall it's a very nice statue, just tends to be a bit frustrating.

I think it can also be a matter of how lucky you get on the piece you buy. I have had no problem whatsoever with any Gentle Giant statue. Given...I handle them like a porcelain baby to not give it any chance to break or get damaged. But I have heard some of the same problems...just not hapenned to any of mine yet.

You made the right call. I passed on the Chewie at first and just got it this past Christmas. It is one of my favorites...I laugh at myself for having passed on it. It is incredible!
...better get used to it, I'm still here and ain't going anywhere anytime soon.:p

Is it EASY to break, or are there just lots of opportunities for breakage?

Are you worried that it might be too difficult or too long to break it?

One post just made it sound like it would fall apart in my hands. Makes me a little nervous!

I don't know how easy it is to break, but I got one awhile back, and when I opened up the box, 3PO was in about 7 pieces. I have another one on the way now... we'll see if my luck is any better this time.
