SDCC could be a Jango repaint of the Boba..
I have the 2nd Boba and its just amazing stuff.
Isn't though?
If you get the first fett, you'll be amazed at the difference -- I remember when the 2nd fett was announced -- I didn't even pay attention to it, I was so focused on vader, and my prediction of a stormtrooper after vader was proven true --
luckily I had the chance to see a fett in person (ESB ver.) I snatched it up because it was SOOO different from the first fett...the only color that's repeated on it, other than the grey is the red on the face the grey is different, and so are the greens -- the feet are different molds as is the belt, pouches, different guns, etc. I hope they do Jango, that would be so awesome to see -
- I wonder if there's anyone out there who had painted a vcd boba to look like a jango...![]()
Demorathis could you please take a picture of a VCD Boba Fett as I wasn't aware there was a version out there at the moment and I'd love to see one?![]()
Sure!
Gimme a couple a days and I'll do some fetts like I did the vaders -- in the meantime, I'll repost some publicity photos and some pix that other people took...![]()
OMG They're incredible!!!!!!!!!!
This might be a silly question but is there anywhere I can get one other than on evil bay? When were they released?
Thanks so much for the pics mate.

Ebay is the only place I know where you can find it regularly -- as far as prices go - the initial prices were about 6090 yen -- think of yen as american cents -- that'd be about 60 bucks -- by the time it gets here you can expect to pay about 40 dollars shipping and a little bit of cheddar on top, and you're looking at about 100-150 bucks...
You can do one of 2 things...wait for the sideshow versions, which is still manufactured by medicom, sculpted and designed by the same graphic/graphiti style artists same molds as the J verions but different color and packaging -- and CHEAPER -- 60 bucks thru Sideshow for their exclusive version -- due out, I think, in November --
or buy the Japanese versions while you can find thm. I don't expect the values to drop suddenly considering the different look or packaging, but it may in the long run...
Nevertheless, they are quality figures, well crafted and designed, and the packaging is top-drawer.
I've bought mine from a private dealer out of Japan -- the tough part is, that these figures are usually made available initially as a show offering (Medicom Toy Exhibit or World Character Convention WCC, or maybe other shows) but they are limited then to perhaps up to 500-1000 pcs -- the remainder of the edition size is to be sold online by lottery.
So they are tough to come by, though we know that there are dealers who hoard the stuff, too -- sometimes, it's best to wait until they get tired of sitting on the boxes they've accumulated and watch ebay when the prices start to drop.
I am really excited about this line, and I am really curious as to what they have planned next.
So, knowing that americans will have a shot at these figures, some dealers from Japan are of the mind that they may not be able to sell these here, but I assured some of them that as long as the variation exists in the paint as well as the packaging, people are bound to purchase the Japanese versions as well, though they are not intended for e foreign market (outside of Japan, that is).
Thanks Demorathis you really helped me out there.
So are SSC going to be doing a version of Boba Fett at some point in the future, perhaps a re release with different packaging and paint? I hadn't heard that but would surely pick one up.
I'm also intrigued as to who this brand new character might be for SDCC exclusive. Wouldn't mind if it was Jango or Sandtrooper they'd be easy enough to do and I like the characters so I'd pick them up.
I have the Medicom Stormtrooper RAH, so I know despite all the fuss about SSC 12" line which is also excellent, that Medicom produce fine quality action figures.
