Its not movie accurate but it is definitely a variation. I got it in a TRU 2-pack.
I have a #27 Obi-Wan with a lightsaber whose handle has no gold rim, and i was told this more likely was a production mishap than a variation. I guess this makes your clone helmet a production mishap as well rather than a variation. That's as far as i know

With the rerelease of the TRU 2pks I would think the battle damaged is by far and away the more common.

Of which one? The normal damaged thighs variant is noted in the photo archives.

Ah, the ROTS Tac Ops daily hunt, I remember thee fondly. I hunted and hunted and found some, just enough it seems. All my diorama scenes have just enough Tac Ops troopers. A few more wouldn't hurt, but that goes for most troops. I've got 3 shooting down Lucas Jr. while Bail gestures no (#65 troops), a row of 7 marching behind Anakin on the way to Jedi Temple (JTA troops), 2 fighting alongside Anakin inside the Temple killing Jedi (JTA troops), and 4 fighting against Yoda and Obi-Wan (#65 troops, one customized as so many did, Yoda's saber though the chest). Even one MOC just cuz it was so nice and minty at the store (#65, no extra damage, warning sticker variation on top of tape).

It took a lot of work to obtain those, and now I read about all kinds of people getting to find them easy at TRUs, sometimes even in 2-packs.
    Must be nice.
    Lucky rotten people.

I know, I know, I sound like a broken record, yap yap yap.

Sorry. I just miss the satisfaction of finding these that I am sorely missing in my endeavor for completing Coruscant and finding ANY UGHs.

Having ordered a set from Ebay recently, i think that the battle damaged legs version must be the common one. I never had the opportunity to get a clean leg version though i already have a dozen 501st clones.

Does anybody know if there is a site like potf2 that would list all the variants of a figure? Is there a good magazine that might have the info?
You're not allowed to rent here anymore. Yeeeaaahhh!
