    Poster help

I need a little help with something. I work at a newspaper up here, and was cleaning out a storage room when I came across a poster for the Empire Strikes Back radio dramas. I hopped around the net for a few hours and I'm positive it's an original, since it has the right dimensions, the white space at the bottom, and it's easily been in the room for 10 years. The condition isn't all that great, since it was rolled up and then something was set on it for those 10ish years. It also has pinholes where it was hung up. The damage mainly consists of fold marks and pinholes in the corners. I haven't noticed any tears or anything. So my question is.....is this worth anything? I'm not planning on selling it, just having it framed, since I thought it was cool.

    Thanks for your help.

WOW!! That is a sweet find! I know a couple of years ago they a mint rolled poster was pulling in a couple hundred bucks. Not sure what they are pulling in today, especially a non mint one, but I do know those are pretty rare.

Can you post a picture? The value is completely based on the condition of the poster.

I hung it up using the same pinholes that were already there, but you should be able to see the folds in it. There are also pinholes in the top and bottom center (you can see the top center in the pic)

Wow, that is a sweet find. In a side note...four different colors on the title of the film? A reminder of the Punky Brewster days, when times were more colorful.

The creasing doesn't look too bad. It's really hard to say. I haven't been in the market for this type of poster in a while. It's easily worth 50-75 IMO, but I don't know how much more then that.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'm gonna have it framed and I'll check again in 10 years. Till then it'll look good in my recording studio.

Because of the beauty and rarity of this one, it is a good candidate for restoration. Although the cost of such measures would probably outweigh its value at this point, it does stand to appreciate significantly in the future, imo. There's just too much going for this poster...
