Exclusive Star Wars: Episode III T-Shirt

The title was publicly revealed in a special presentation to a packed audience of Star Wars fans at Comic-Con International in San Diego, California. "For some time now, the naming of a new Star Wars movie has taken on some special meaning among core fans, who love to take part in guessing games before a title is announced, and then engage in debate once it is," said Steve Sansweet, Director of Content Management and Head of Fan Relations for Lucasfilm. "Let the debates begin."

At the end of the Star Wars Spectacular presentation, Steve Sansweet revealed he was wearing the special t-shirt bearing the Episode III title, with a style reminiscent of the 1982 Fan Club Revenge of the Jedi logo and shirts available for a limited time before the final Return of the Jedi title was revealed.

I really hope they follow that design, it's a fantastic tribute to the original Revenge/Return of the Jedi logo.

Cool shirt, but...using "Revenge of the _______" for the Episode III title seems a little corny, doesn't it? What do you guys think - does it bring the saga full circle in a cool way, or does it seem cheesy? If I didn't know better, I'd almost say that it's an obvious attempt on LFL's part to get old guys like me who don't particularly like the prequels to go Wow, cool, it's retro and reminds me of when I was a kid! That's obviously what they're doing with collectibles and such, but would George go so far as to name the final (?) SW movie a certain way just to appeal to older audiences?

I do have to say that my initial reaction to the title, even if part of me wants to say it's corny, is much better than how I felt when I heard either "The Phantom Menace" or "Attack of the Clones" for the first time. Either "Revenge of the Sith" is a much better title than those two, or I just think it's better because I'm biased towards the original trilogy - being a 20something year old guy.

I guess if Lucas wanted to keep with tradition, he would have named Ep3 Return of the Sith, produced some promotional material, then decided that "Revenge" was more Sith-esque.

Also, two "of the" titles in a row. I dunno about that. Cool shirt and nice retro logo though.
