The Post GONG XI FA CAI discussion Thread

We are aware that Klangboy has sent us RS Forum users his CNY greeting in the Malaysian Thread-January 2004. However, I believe it will also be great to start off this thread for all us Asian RS Forum contributors to place their Chinese Lunar New Year Greetings here.

So here is my CNY greeting to all you fellas on the ocassion of this Lunar Year of the Monkey 2004 :

and so GONG XI FA CAI !! and those of you who are driving back to your hometown, please drive safely!

and for those who are still not married, trust that you'll be collecting enough Ang Pows to finance your collecting targets for the new Star Wars releases for 2004.

No doubt that this leng looi must be an Asian CY-Girl. Nice Ang Cheongsam too? Did you make it yourself or borrow the dress from a Barbie Doll?

She's actually not asian, VG. She's a brunette PB, prolly of latin origins, I imagine. It was a quick custom that I did for CNY. The cheongsam is bought at my local pasar malam, RM10 for 3. I only got one (RM4). The banner is cut from an AngPow and the heels I made myself with epoxy putty.

By the way, can anyone tell me what is written on that banner she's holding up? I just put it there for posing's sake. I have no idea what it says. Something auspicious, I hope!

    <font size="2" face="arial">What's a brunette "PB" doll? Please elaborate.

As for the Chinese characters written on the banner that this cheongsam clad doll is holding, let me consult my Chinese educated colleagues who are more profficient in Mandarin than me. They should be able to provide a better interpretation of the meaning of these words which. Thereafter I I'll be more than happy to post the meaning here.

Re: The Post GONG XI FA CAI discussion Thread

Oh, sorry I wasn't thorough in explaining. Got used to writing 'PB' in another forum, "Men With Dolls" Heheh, people there already know what a PB is. PB is short for Perfect Body. It is made by Bbi alone. The usual Cy Girls are made by Takara and only distributed by Bbi.

Thanks for checking out the meaning of the banner man, would be really funny if it turns out to be something dumb...

And Happy CNY kae_ae! Not belated at all, we have 15 days.

    Happy New Year.

Emm? I was watching TV and they kept sayin HCNY to the kaum Tiong Hua. I asked my cina friends and they have absolutely no clue what Tiong Hua means.

Does anyone know? Was it a secret code of some sort?

But no worries kawan, I will check this out for U as well with my Chinese educated colleagues who will be back to work any day soon. Perhaps they can decipher this secret code!
