Your Marmit Collection

Hey guys, I currently own a marmit Boba Fett, Tie Fighter Pilot, Stormtrooper, 2 orange sandtropper and 2 white sandtrooper. I have already begun customizing the one sandtrooper by adding distressed sand textures and dirt as well as replacing the marmit body with a german dragon body. I also replaced the marmit MG34 with a dragon MG34 which has a lot more details.

I have never collected 12 inch star wars figures before because in my opinion, what hasbro, kenner and others have produced are inferior products. They are so badly unproportional and detailed that they hurt my eyes. I have not been able to fully enjoy the star wars figure toys until I found out about marmit.

I plan on making a diorama out of the two sandtroopers and excase it in an acrylic display case as well as putting the individual stormtrooper in a display case and the boba fett.

I really do hope that Marmit comes through with its promise of making Darth Vader. And my other dream is to have marmit produce some 12 inch clone troopers!!!!!

Why are those Marmit's so expensive? They seem WAY overpriced to me.

You are right. The cheapest I paid was the whitepad stormtrooper which came out to $85 on ebay. Dont ask me how much the rest cost... (

It is only available in Japan and I have zero idea why they do not manufacture it here. Could the toy stores and comic shops be hoarding these figures and sell them little by little over ebay and make a huge profit?...it seems like it.

But the quality was so high that I just had to have it.

I have to admit, they look like they are of EXTREMELY high quality, and now that I collect 12", I absolutely salivated over the Marmits. But I can't pay over $100.00 for a Star Wars "figure".

frx-deltaforce - I also collect the Marmit figures. I have 5 of the 6 released (don't see the point of getting Boba again unless I see it going cheap - and I mean cheap).

Darth Vader is only 13 months late and I'm also looking forward to the ATAT Driver. And due to the cost of these, I'm in deep trouble when/if they release the Emperor's Royal Guard - Hey!, everyone should have at least 2 of these guys.

I recently bought 2 display cases, both different sizes to display the Portrait Amidala dolls. The Marmit fit nicely into these apart from the Sandtrooper with the rifle - he'll fit, just not posed well with the gun.
The largest cases was only $13 from this place
Cotswold
I'll be getting more in the new year.

i have 2 marmit figures,i have the sandtrooper with white pauldron and i have boba fet too...i got the sandtrooper on ebay for 69.00 and the boba fett for 139.00..boba fett seems to be the real hard to find one right now....these figures can be hard to assemble at times and they can easily break or be damaged....you have to know what you are getting into when you purchase these type figures..overall they are the most detailed/lifelike..

Re: Your Marmit Collection

Finally a Marmit Support group.

Currently I have:
3 Regular Stormtroopers
2 Orange Paltron Sandtroops
2 White Paltron Sandtroops
1 Boba Fett
6 Tie Pilots (Not all are Dressed as Pilots)

The cheapest one I bought was on Clearance at an Online dealer (actually it was 4 of them) Tie Pilots for $49.99 a piece. And they were in the US already.

The most expensive was for Stormtrooper #3, because it was when they were the only ones out and the only place to get them was from outside the US. He was $130.00

They are BY far the best Action Figures made to date for any Star Wars movie.

Currently the Empire is being manned by almost Exclusively Dragon Germans but some GI's and Modern Soldiers have snuck in (if their head sculpt fits the persona) The MG34's are all Dragon too.

My main problem is that I am not a model builder or even a decent customizer(I will mess up a boil and pop head swap) so each one has taken me HOURs to get right to fit on a Dragon body. The armor pieces need to be "thinner" in some places and completely cut off on others.

Are they worth the $$ BY ALL MEANS YES YES YES. But it is like a car, will a Toyota Corrolla get you from Point A to Point B safely? YES but it is no Lexus.(even though technically a Lexus IS a Toyota...)My point being, if you can't stand the deformed grossly illproportioned dreck that Hasbro tries to call figures, you really have no choice....

I have even gone to the trouble of having he Impirial Blaster reproduced for my troops by a friend who does resin work...they ROCK. I have an arsenal ready.

Things I'd like to see from Marmit:
Scout Trooper
Snow Trooper
Imperial Guard
General Veers

I'd like to see them do any of the Generic Military Stuff...Naval Troops etc.

Ok, I'm done,

The Marmits are great. I consider Marmit Boba Fett the best Star Wars figure out there. I have a White Sandtrooper, an Orange Sandtrooper, a Tie Pilot, and Boba Fett.

I have a Sandtrooper on either side of my computer and Boba Fett with the 12" Hasbro Bounty Hunters.

It would be great if they did a Clone Trooper and released the different colors. The ones from Hasbro suck.

Re: Your Marmit Collection

Fett is By far the best one they have done. My Only concern is that his Helmet may be a bit small (at least for putting on a Dragon.) And of course now that we know what he will look like when he grows up, I have to put a completely new Dragon figure in the costume.

The only HASBRO figures that I will let get around my Marmits are the Death Star Droid and the Astromechs.

I tried to get a Death Star Trooper and put his helmet on an Armor-less Tie Pilot, but the Helmet was designed for the Pumpkin Headed Hasbro abominations.....

I am going to gather the Marmit Collection together and get a picture to post this weekend.

Re: Your Marmit Collection

Phantom Shadow - I thought there were only 5 Marmit figures released so far.

Stormtrooper
Boba Fett (Error version and then corrected version)
Sandtrooper (Orange Pauldren)
TIE Fighter Pilot
Sandtrooper (White Pauldren)

Is there I figure I am missing or are you counting Boba Fett as two separate figures? I thought the only difference was the first version was missing the red from the visor and the yellow on the knee and shoulder pads didn't match (this is the version I have), hence it got recalled and a corrected version was then released. I would tend to class this as a variation rather than two figures.

As far as prices go, I think I've paid roughly $60 - $80 each for my figures, with Fett being the most expensive and the Stromtrooper the cheapest. I bought them all from Hobby Link Japan as everywhere in the UK tends to charge scalper prices for them.

Wasn't there supposed to be a third Sandtrooper with a black pauldren released by now? I really hope they do release this as the Sandtroopers are my favourite in the line.

I really would like to see:

Darth Vader
Emperor's Royal Guard
Biker Scout (This would look class on Hasbro's speederbike)
Snowtrooper
Imperial Gunner
Jango Fett
Clonetrooper (All versions)

I just wish they would hurry up and release the AT-AT Driver.
