ESPN reported that Don Zimmer "lunged" at Pedro. If someone lunges at me in a fit of rage, I don't care who you are, you are going down. If "Old Man Zimmer" didn't want to get hurt, he shouldn't have catapulted of the Yankee bench. Like he was going to do something anyways, the guy is 72. What was he thinking getting involved anyways? Sit down on the bench, where you belong, and stop playing the role as an enforcer. You aren't one. Leave that to that maniac Roger Clemens. He is one tough animal. Let him go after Pedro.

Someone is bitter that Don Zimmer could not manage the Cubs to the World Series back when he was their manager. [/QB]
<font size="2" face="arial">Bitter? No. That was long ago and is ancient history. What's important is that he is a Yankee and a fool for going after Pedro. You guys say Pedro is a punk, but Clemens isn't much better. Only a big baby would throw a piece of a broken bat back at the hitter. Piazza should've laid him out when he did that.

Well it looks like I actually missed something. I've read the stories online and maybe I'll see what happened. I read Pedro grabbed Zimmer by the head and threw him face down after he lunged at him. Sounds like Pedro has been paying attention to how Nolan Ryan handled people around the mound. Except Ryan took out young guys not a grandpa.

And Zimmer isn't named Robin Ventura. I still remember seeing that, it was hilarious.

<font size="2" face="arial">I'm not sure it was quite like thatg....I saw a replay and it doesn't seem like it's that hard to throw a 70yo to the ground, but hey...I didn't watch the whole thing so I shouldn't be talking.

Well I just saw the replay on ESPN News and Zimmer deserved it for running at Pedro. I don't care how old you are you shouldn't charge a player during a brawl. He just pushed him down anyway. He could have fallen on top of him and given him the beating of his life.

The only team I'm sorta paying attention to is the Marlins because Rodriquez is catching for them. How the heck the Rangers traded him is beyond me.

If you are a coach and you see Martinez tell your guy who he just hit right below the neck on the back I could have hit you in the head if I wanted to, I'd be running out at the first sign of a brawl and kick his *** as well, Martinez and Ramirez are both punks and I had never thought that before until the playoffs started
