    Peter Jennings becomes an American

    Surprised that he did, or not?

    I can understand after living here so long. He has dual citizenship as he also kept his Canadian citizenship.

    I had always thought it a bit odd/funny that one of the most visible figures on American TV was not an American. But I don't think many people (other than Canadians) knew he wasn't a US citizen.

    Well if you follow politics it's pretty clear he's not an American. There has been endless stories written about it for a while. He mentions on the news every once in a while he's Canadian too. I'm not surprised at all one of the major networks would have someone like him on.

    I guess it's about time because he has enjoyed some nice tax breaks for too long.
