windows xp/office xp question

i have always prided myself on my pc knowledge, but this one has me stumped. i installed windows xp on my computer (fresh install) and my office xp professional. i then did my configurations on my computer (i.e. disabled the useless services, screensaver...) For some reason, when i open outlook xp, it will never remember my password. i check the checkbox for the save this password in the password list, and that doesnt help. i tried to put it in the email accounts settings and that doesnt help either. does anyone know if there is anything i can try

figured it out...i disabled the protected storage service...bah
