    A kid named Anakin.

This has nothing to do with collecting vintage Star Wars.

A kid was running in the sand, towards the water at the beach this past summer. His mom yelled "Anakin, come back here!" I looked over when I heard it - she was wearing a Star Wars shirt.

An anecdote to break things up a bit. This story has no point.

Anakin Solo - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki was it this kid?

Anakin is actually a great sounding name IMO.
Fun fact: Annakin is a surname from Yorkshire, England, that goes back to the Norman French name Anketin, itself a form of the Old Norse name Askell or Asketill, "divine cauldron".

We have a couple in our Star Wars group that named their son Anakin. I wouldn't do that, but that's just me.
    Naughtiest lines in Star Wars:
You came in that thing?! You're braver than I thought!
Luke, at that speed will we be able to pull out in time?
    Back door huh? Good idea.

I know a couple whose sons had Padawan braids until they turned thirteen and had them ceremoniously removed.

Ian, Anakin Solo was in the SW books written by Kevin J. Anderson. Which ones did you write?

    Kevin J Who?

Sorry man, but Star Wars to me covers the films. That's about it. I've had this argument many times before. Star Wars is the brainchild of George Lucas. His ideas. His characters. His plotlines. The "Expanded Universe" is by and large condoned plagiarism. As in, a bunch of authors few (if any) people have heard of are using Lucas's ideas to sell glorified fan fiction. Lucas agreed to it all, because he is blinded by money, and didn't have to work to get any of it from these stories. There are no children, no death of Chewbacca, no cloned Emperor's, no Mara Jade, no Yuuzhan Vong (or whatever they're called). Characters are called Hammerhead, Walrusman, and Snaggletooth, not Momaw Nadon, Ponda Baba, and Zutton.

I like the name Wampa for a kid, pity im not having any, might have to call my next staffy Wampa instead...
Squid head might be a good name for a baby girl, maybe Yak Face, Prune face or Amanaman might be good names....

Are baby Amanaman's (Amanamen?) called Aboyaboy's?

Prune Face would make a good name for Grandma.
