    Arizona collectors

I am in phoenix for a week on vacation....i am meeting up with an old friend who is willing to take me around town. Can any of you guys from the area recommend any local shops that carry vintage...1hr is my max drive...dont wanna take advantage of his kindness to drive me.

I prefer carded figures BUT if its a cool shop I would go check it out anyways.

    Thanks
    Scott

About the only place in the area that I know of is Toy Anxiety

They usually have around 40 or so vintage carded figures, display with boxed playsets/vehicles, loose complete/beaters and misc. (and the prices aren't insane)

Its a small shop thats jam packed with mostly modern of pretty much any line you can think of.

Its worth a stop...I usually will go and check it out a few times a year

Oh I forgot, there's also this place too https://www.facebook.com/CollectorsMarketplace

It's sort of a mini mall with a mix of a bunch of local dealers. There is one store inside that the guy specializes in vintage. I haven't been in there in awhile but he had a bunch last time I was in. The place has limited hours and is not open everyday so you'd need to check with that.

Hope you find something at either place if you decide to check them out

I head to the Collector's Marketplace every Saturday. Its a mix of permanent shop + permanent stall+ weekly table exhibitors that add variety to the mix. Its fun to look around. Not much high grade stuff but since I have kids its fun to look with them. They are open Sunday as well but its less bustling. Saturday is the day to go for sure.

The prices were not bad...they had a few nice vintage examples but the 12back i wanted was too high...want $500 for a sand person (b) and it was pretty mint but a horn popped the top bubble a bit...got my son a few moderns instead...nice store and def recommend it.

Edit- i was close so i went to both....the marketplace was very expensive. The booths were pretty good though.

I'm glad you were able to check them out. It is hit or miss pretty much like everywhere else but you never know when you'll find a gem.

    Maybe next time!
