    SNAGGLETOOTH COO IDENTIFICATION

i am a year into re-collecting vintage star wars and have been concentrating on cardbacks. since being on rebel scum et al i've become aware of collectors collecting loose figures by COO. i thought it would be interesting to see if any of my childhood collection of loose figures had any 'rare' COOs. i cannot seem to identify the COO on my red snaggletooth using this comprehensive guide:

    COO GUIDE

as you can see from the photo the 'hong' is present but the 'kong' has been scarred out in a similar way to the pbp figure in the above guide. it looks too clean to be childhood wear.

    is this a variation?

your expert knowledge and help would be much appreciated.

    thanks,

    jonathan.

The theory is when the moulds were altered to remove the COO. The 'Hong Kong' was filled in with a 'material' In this case some of it fell out.

thanks for your help - much appreciated

is this a 'rare' variation or pretty standard?

if the former, i'd be happy to sell to fund my chronic cardback addiction!

Hi, it is a Spanish-made figure (by a company called PBP), it is not too rare since it was released in the USA on Kenner ROTJ 77 back cards along with his fellow cantina aliens Walrus Man, Hammerhead & Greedo.
