If anyone should return it's Mark Hamill, being the key piece to the OT Star Wars films his the one that will help move the franchise on to the next generation.

...I just hope he's wrong about his old impression that Luke would become a hermit living in an igloo with a couple of robots once Leia turned out to be his sister... It's a big galaxy, Luke! And you KNOW the Force runs strong in your family, so there's no reason not to go out & get hitched & have a whole passel of younglings of your own.

Think about it like this: another Luke-like figure, Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender, kinda seemed like he'd be a lonely hermit. It's in his design, the whole Buddhist-monk look. He finishes up the series with Katara, as pretty much everyone figured... and The Legend of Korra shows that Aang had a few kids of his own, and at least his Airbender son ALSO had a bunch of kids. There's no real reason for Luke to NOT have kids.

I know this is off topic but, Aang and Tenzin pretty much had to have a bunch of kids to repopulate the Air Nation, but I get what you're saying. It would be kind of a bummer if he didn't have any kids.
