Thanks for starting the thread. One of the great icons and will be missed. The Andy Griffith Show was one of the greatest shows in the history of TV. Much of today's garbage should sit back and take lessons. RIP Andy.

I was 1/2 way through the Andy Griffith Show/Mayberry boxset....such a loss for us....but he enjoyed life for 86 years...which in itself is an example to strive for

I urge everyone to watch the movie A Face in the Crowd. It's Andy Girffith before his show in one of the best performances of all time. It comes on TCM alot, look for it!
