FAKE DT DARTH VADER, Ebay

I have been watching this for the last couple of days and watched the bid amount rise very quicklly. The seller listed the item as original lettered hilt HH, which leads you to believe it is original, but he did not provide any close up photos of the hilt when he first listed the item for sale, stating he would add better photos later. Today he has added close ups of the inner and outer saber, as you can clearlly see, it is a repro. I hope the bidders realise this before it is too late. It was a great plan the seller had, list it with the mention that the hilt is a lettered hilt HH, which automatically attracted high bids.

I hope that if you are one of the high bidders and you are a member here on RS, this has helped you realize this is a FAKE.

Yeah I had my suspicions as well, the inner saber's end looks too round just like the RevalveIT DTs. His new pics do not show HH, but R, which makes me think he took that pic into photoshop and removed the other lettering on the Revalve DT hilts (see my below example of the RevalveIT DTs). You can clearly see "R" on this example of a RevalveIT DT. Typical turd nugget... Too bad for all of those bidders man.

I messaged him that the saber did not look authentic, this was his response:

"Hi,
It is authentic because I owned this figure since I was a kid. I compared the color to another Darth Vader saber (single telescoping with the letters "ll") in upcoming pictures. The "R" was confirmed as a Hallmark for some early lightsabers.

yeah, the pic zoomed to 800% and brightness / contrast changed does have the area around the R look "strange".

It's just a shame it didn't get watchmaned to $70,000. That would have shown that clown.
