Hello scummers. I remember first getting these little knock off toys when I was around 4 or 5. These may have predated my first Star Wars toys. My mom used to pick up bagged figures to place on our birthday cakes. I had Cowboys and Indians, army men, and dinosaur themed cakes. I was able to find an old Polaroid of my Galaxy Laser Team cake (that's me on the right)

As some of you know, my parents never had a garage sale and rarely threw anything away but for some reason, I lost the majority of the Galaxy Laser Team figures along the way. I have only been able to locate two or my original figures and they are proudly displayed in my loose figure case.

I have meant to pick up some of these guys from eBay to finish off my childhood set, but have focused mainly on the POTF coins. That is until a few weeks ago when an auction appeared with a reasonable BIN for three sealed sets:

I pulled the trigger and couldn't be more happy. The toys were sold under the Star Patrol line and the Galaxy Laser Team line. The figure themselves are identical as far as I can tell. The Star Patrol packages shown here vary from either 36 or 31 pieces.

The Galaxy Laser Team set came with 26 pieces.

Its interesting to note the use of "X-Wing Rocket" in the Star Patrol packaging. The X-Wing itself is a modified F-16 with an extra set of wings. Here are the rest of the shots I took.

Tim Mee Toys is still around and have recently reissued this set in just black and white. Just do a search for "Galaxy Laser Team" on Amazon to check them out. They reissued them in black and white plastic, so you do miss out on the funky magenta and neon green colored figures.
I hope you enjoyed my trip into my childhood past. I didn't expect to find three sets at once, so I may sell one or two of the extras sets in the future.
Mark
