basic idea of value for a Russell Walks Revenge of the sith sketch card?
back when topps had the sith trading cards out ... I pulled a Russell Walks Sketch card of Yoda ... if I remember right he only did about 200 sketch cards ... I'm looking for a basic value that this card has ... not wanting to sell it ... thinking about getting my collection insured and need a basic value and can't seem to find much info on values ... I know I was offered $350 when I pulled it back in 2005 but not sure if the value is up or down from that? it's pretty detailed and if a photo is needed I can get one ... just would have to pull it out
many thanks

Yes, if you could provide a picture that would be the only way to help you out with a rough value.

the completed listings on Ebay show his cards selling for between $177 & $800(photo realistic). The problem is they are always selling hot when the set is new. But I would bet you could get $200 - $350.
But you never know now days. That's just my guess.

thanks ... number of cards he did for the sets too I know makes a difference too ... the newer stuff he seems to do 5 to 25 ... where mine is from sith and he did like 200 so the $200 to $350 value is pretty cool ... and I know it's one of the more detailed ones he did for sith not the most detailed but more so than a lot ... so I'm happy to have it in my collection
many thanks

I would be too. It's a nice card by a great artist! But like everything it's only worth what someone will pay for it.

Good old google alerts!
No idea of value, but just so you know, I did around 20 of the Sith cards, not 200.
Also just to give an idea - I sold my two returns for somewhere in the 1000 dollar range. They were no more detailed than the Yoda you have, and of course that doesn't mean that the card is worth anything. I just wanted to let you know.
Thanks for the kind words about my work, guys - Stop by and see me in Orlando!

200 sounded really high for him. That's a great card you got there! I'd love one of your blanks Russell, one of these years!

Oh wow only 20 .... was told by another collector that 200 had been done by Walks on the revenge set ... but noticed others had much less numbers.
... I remember pulling it and had known about sketch cards ... but never had seen one in person ... and the ones I'd seen others post were of less detailed drawings so I was kind of thrown back and and to look closer at this card thinking it was more like a print of a photo or something ... the photo I took of it shows up the pencil work more than the naked eye can see on the real thing. but for sure first thing I did was pull out one of the hard protector case things I had for my old baseball cards and put ol' Yoda in it.
I never plan to part with it ... unless life or death kind of deal comes up LOL only looking for a basic idea of value due to getting my whole toy collection and other misc. items insured ... I have lots of different items and for sure this card is high on the list of my favorites.
I love your work Walks ... and to own an original Sketch card you did is so awesome.
