New GI JOE dollar store exclusive figures hit ebay

I am having a heck of a time finding these. I hit six stores this morning, five yesterday, and can't find a trace.

If anyone has a set that they'd part with, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm just going to scour eBay for a good deal. Only 3 DG's in my state and they're already covered by locals who still haven't seen them.

$150 for 6 carded figures. That's a lot of money... but that's still better than > $200 for the loose black Retaliation CC.

Was that the same $9 - $10 black cc that's at retail right now?

Yeah...at first, it was only in the Retaliation Amazon Exclusive 4-pack, which sold out right away but is now readily available. Then came the reports of people finding either Retaliation CCs in either a blue or black outfit. That guy who paid $200+ for it loose must feel pretty dumb.

Also, are you on Hisstank? They have a thread going for helping out Dollar General-deficient collectors. It might be a little better and cheaper than resorting to eBay.

Some controversy here I admit, but something is fishy in Hasbro's way of handling the retaliaiton line (beyond the obvious I mean) so I thought I would jsut toss it out there.

In the meantime DG Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow, Cobra Trooper and Retaliation Red Ninja also get some glowing reviews (for the most part).

I made a modern POC Style Major Bludd using the dollar general Cobra Trooper, and a Zanzibar head, I plan on replacing his arm with a cobra bat if I can find one cheap enough on ebay.

At the DG not 2 minutes from my house they have all 6 of these. They don't look to shabby, they are priced at $3.50 here.

Ya I'm on HISS but primarly just the locals hideout thread. Hard enough keeping up with the SW and TF forums. Tried getting help there on a black hisstank a few times, but never had any luck. Maybe I should try again.

My wife picked up this set for my at our local DG. They really don't look that bad, well SE looks like he should be wearing a "Stay Lame" T-shirt. I can't believe these are difficult to find? Are Dollar Generals that hard to come by? I see them all over town. I'm gonna stop in at a few more and see if they all carry them, keep you guys posted....Happy Hunting.
