Hi Hasbro, here is my email and I'll be your free consultant on case assortments

    Dear Hasbro,

My email is oedipen@hotmail.com. Just shoot shoot me an email when you are planning out your case assortments for the upcoming year. I'll tell you what figures and how many should go in each case and what carry forward figures to have in such a way as to not over saturate the market while providing enough supply so that it isn't just the secondary market benefiting. As the title of my post says, I will do this free of charge with no strings attached. I promise I will not disclose details to the public unless you give me the okay to.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Dear Hasbro,

Please give strong concideration to Chris' proposal. I can almost guarentee online case sales will skyrocket if you put an actual collector in this position. And doing it for free? It should be a no brainer.

Concider this Hasbro, 40% of all sales in action figures are from collectors. If you could have 1 person or maybe 1 group of people willing to help you out with case assortments, your focus would still appeal to kids, because, after all, you're still selling to kids and making the figures (which why another sandtrooper? COME ONE!!!). But then again, you have just peaked collectors interest and they make up nearly half of the sales. Think of the oppertunity that is in front of you at this point.

Now I realize that no one from Hasbro is going to see this, but still, it's a plea to back up one collector in his pursuit to change things for the better. And change for the better is always positive for business.

Well even if Hasbro agreed, that doesn't mean everyone else would be happy with his choices.
Looking for: MU Angel(Blue), Nova, and Daredevil(from comic),

No it doesn't, but I am sure you would see figures that actually sell better and not get a sandtrooper carried forward for a year and a half

While I appreciate the concept, attempt, and enthusiasm, this will only work if the OP has a degree or formal education in business, manufacturing, market strategy, etc. It's no use in having a couple great cases if Hasbro can't perpetuate itself and none of us here know what their books look like. All we know is that we are unsatisifed as a consumer base - making us happy with better case assortments may not automatically equal profit for Hasbro.

    Dear Hasbro,

please make sure that different countries become treated as having markets that differ from one another in respect of case assortments, too.

In addition to Chris' proposal, my idea would be to create polls in each country Star Wars figures are sold to in/to order to better understand - and determine - which kinds of case assortments would work best, there.

I have backgrounds in some of that. I would make everyone happy and Hasbro would make money.

You hit the nail on the head with one idea I had. This would not take a lot of administrative effort to organize and the ROI could be substantial.

An entire case assortment consisting of nothing but Skiff Guards, Jabba's Henchmen and Cantina Aliens? Awesome! Thanks!
