For the limited times they used it in TRON: Legacy it was fine. It won't hold up for use on main characters in feature films.

Just let the franchise die a noble death. Between GL's constant changes and your suggestion, Star Wars would become a shadow of itself and quickly turn from beloved sci-fi classic to cash cow. Some may argue it already happened with the PT but I still think there was heart in parts of the PT.

If they do anything with a post-ROTJ storyline, I would not mind a cartoon similar to Clone Wars. Maybe not that style of animation but I think you can find voice actors to fill Han and Leia. Hamill can still be Luke and he has voice acting experience.

The thing about Tron Legacy is that Clu (young Bridges) looked pretty bad at times, but they had the scapegoat of excusing it as he's really a program in the Grid computer system. You could say he was glitchy or whatever. That's how I wrote it off anyway. You just can't do that in the SW universe.

Nor could you do that for young Flynn at the beginning of the film, speaking with Sam. With Clu, it was a computer program; and even with young Flynn hanging out with Clu, they're still both IN the computer. So it kinda works (though Sam and the rest of the people looking more realistic doesn't), but it was atrocious in the one real-world scene where it was used... just like the de-aged Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan from X-Men 3 & X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Just looks creepy.
