You know since collectors bought this out in only about 24 hours their going to think packs like this are a hit. Guess they're here to stay at this rate...
Question is how many were available, could of only been a small number so it wouldn't mean too much in the grand scheme.

It is sad though because if these doing well especially at that price, means it's okay to cut back on articulation and will still sell.

I bought the Luke on ebay for $5 to kitbash a figure, the other figures aren't worth anything to me.
If I want a bigger helmet on SA Boba I can always use a dozen other previous figures.
Looking for: MU Baron Zemo, Mysterio.

But don't you see that cutting back on articulation is already happening without the success of this pack. And the strength of this pack is the sculpts, which are great. Still, average looking figures sell too. Avengers figures with no ankle or torso articulation are selling out in many stores. GI Joe fans are buying Retaliation vehicles with 5 POA drivers. This thought that limited articulation figures selling well will result in a regression across the board is a fallacy. Hasbro has the chance to elimitate articulation on everything and instead they've increased it on many figures making wrist and hip joints more common on SW figures and rocker ankles on GI Joe figures. Hasbro recognizes the collector base and will continue to do so. Just don't think we'll ever see super articulated figures under $10 again.

Hahahaha, you think something selling out tells Hasbro it's a hit? Like the Scramble on Yavin set? The Gammorrean Guard? The Imperial Navy Commander? The EU Wave from Legacy?

    Hasbro is an idiot.

Pretty sure that's clear by now.

I like the sculpts, but hate the lack of articulation.

Funny, of the two Battlepacks that are coming up, I thought I'd rather pick this one up. Luke's a pretty neat figure, but I'm not happy with Boba's pose/ muscular bodysculpt, and I don't know for sure, but it looks like the Light-Up Lightsaber Vader and this Vader have the same sculpt, except for the right arm. Could someone who owns please confirm or deny?

The left arm on the Light up vader has an elbow joint and it looks like a glove joint. The legs have knee joints and I'm pretty sure that the torso is completely different because it has to house the electronics. So really, the only thing that's probably the same is the head if anything. I don't have either though so I'm curious as well if they are the same head joint.

I decided to switch my bbp boba helmet to the vintage collection body by dremmeling the inside of the helmet until it fit on Temuras head as per instructions by vaz. Thanks vaz!

Galactic Hunter dug up an apropos quote from a November 2010 Hasbro Q&A:

"Many people assume that Saga Legends are targeted toward collectors. That is not the case. Saga Legends are targeted toward a kid audience and have been for a number of years. While we have done Saga Legends fans' votes, most notably in the 2007-2008 30th Anniversary line, the large majority of figures are designed to keep the most popular characters out there in circulation. Kids are much less concerned about articulation or how old a figure is; in fact, the more articulation a figure has the harder it is for young kids to manipulate, which is why we select the figures we do. Another fallacy we are happy to address: that we keep forcing figures out to retailers instead of figure segments that sell better. Saga Legends has been a hot segment since the release of the new packaging with the Galactic Battle Game, and we have been trying to keep up with the demand. "

Which is exactly what some of us have been saying, especially:

"Kids are much less concerned about articulation or how old a figure is; in fact, the more articulation a figure has the harder it is for young kids to manipulate, which is why we select the figures we do."

    Source: Star Wars Q&A 11-22-10

So now they're minting all new, less-articulated figures to rotate in. And save money money on production costs in the long run (less plastic parts + less assembly time = lower production costs.)
