This episode pealed back the "puppet show", some really great foreshadowing. Even some doubt in Obiwan's mind about the council

I don't know. I didn't mind the episode, but I actually preferred the other parts of the arc better. I thought the climax was a bit anti-climatic.

Obi Wan and Anakin's strategy for rescuing Palpatine was weak. Thought it would be something more clever than just running on the ship and grabbing Palpatine while Dooku was standing there.

I love Cad Bane. Were the hologram disguises flashing on and off for the viewer's benefit, or was that actually happening? One would imagine an audience member would realize the guard standing in front of them is blinking between different identities.

I think it was for the audiences benefit, not that they were glitching. So Anakin gets the dinner idea from Dooku..lol

I thought that also but then Obi-Wan realizes its one of the Bounty Hunters with the false Palpatine when he sees one of the glitches through his scope so I am leaning toward them actually occurring and being viable in story. Perhaps they happen so fast that only the quick reflexes of a Jedi eye (jedi eye....ha.) are able to see the flickering glitch.

It could be the way the guy was peering over the floor that tipped him off too.

I love how Palpy revels in the fight between Anakin and Dooku.

Some pretty large lapses in logic (the whole holo-disguise thing), but I loved everything else. Jason's right. When we see the expansion of the key relationships, it makes for quality story-telling. And the Anakin/Dooku duel was amazing. Bravo!

I thought it was a pretty good episode, with a great ending. Angry, mistrusting Anakin...arrogant, scheming Dooku...conniving, manipulative Palpatine...heroic, swashbuckling Obi-Wan...all well done! Also, I liked the nod to Empire with Dooku waiting at the dinner table. And while we were all expecting the "it's a trap" line to come from Akbar earlier in the season, it actually comes from Palpatine close to the end of the season!

I thought the same thing about he holographic disguise matrix, but then I realized something: Maybe the main unit that Bane puts on the table distributes the holo data, but their individual units (given to them by Bane) are what actually keeps them disguised.

There were also those moments in this episode where it almost blurred into live action territory as well. The Palpatine stuff was great, especially since finishing Darth Plagius novel. I really liked how he sowed the seeds do rivalry between Dooku and Anakin, and gave Anakin some doubts about the Jedi Council. I also liked that Ben now has that question in the back of his mind as well.
