Great episode! Lots of people are saying how the idea was ripped from other sources, but since I haven't seen any of them it seemed like a fresh idea to me. Those were some pretty brutal ways of taking out bounty hunters, and made for some rather intense moments.

I get the feeling that Dooku knows more than we give him credit for...

One of the tests looked like some sort of Jedi thing with those lightsaber things coming out of the walls. I can't wait for next week, Obiwan in the grassy knoll..lol

This episode made me realize that most of the best episodes in the clone wars have bounty hunters in them. Can we just get a bounty hunters cartoon after this? Maralo, Bane, Embo. I like them enough that it I would not mind not seeing any main characters. We barely saw Anakin and Yoda in this episode. It was mainly Bounty hunters and it works in my book.
(And can they make a BOUNTY HUTNERS II video game please
You know your a Star Wars fan when you imagine your flying through hyperspace when you are actually driving while it is snowing at night with the brights on to add more of an effect.

I think that's the concept behind Star Wars: Underworld (the live action series, that is).
    CV: Awesome. Just awesome

Check out my TFN review of "The Box," in which I explain that this wasn't a good episode in the context of its arc.

    right

    I must agree with Eric.
The episode was ok, but it was kinda pointless in the story arc.
So far, 4 part arcs have been fun, but i feel they have been pointlessly extended.

Oh, and to me the general idea immediately threw me out of the story. These are Bounty Hunters, usually selfish, greedy characters. Their job is about risk management and pay-offs. They will only engage on mission or hunts if it's worth it. No because of ethics, beliefs, or kindness. They work towards benefits.
And in this context, i just cannot imagine why a bounty hunter would agree to compete to the DEATH against the best in the galaxy for the "chance" to get an assignment.
To me, Bounty-Hunters are a lot more driven by survival then by ego, and so i feel it is very uncharacteristic for mercenaries to accept to engage in such a pointless exercise just to prove themselves to Dooku.
I wish we would at least seen 1 or 2 guys turn back and say "forget it" when Dooku explained the contest (to be then executed by Dooku, of course).
