Collector of bulk lots of common cardbacks - Wanted any condition including beaten (yes beaten).
Josh I think you are right. Plenty of Dengar 41C & E cards but no B or D.
Will go through the rest of the characters now you have me intrigued and see if any can be added into Loops list.

From a printing standpoint, this would make total sence. They probably assembled an assortment of figures on one set of printing plates, and the other assortments on their own sets of plates as well. This is way more ecconomical for the production process. Sort of like how Topps prints the sheets of baseball cards. I don't know if they still do this, but back a few years ago, every card that was printed had a very small letter in the lower corner. If it had an "E" on it, then it means it came from sheet "E" in the prting run. That card was exclusive to that letter code and would not have any other letter in the corner. So with so many figures available, it would only make sence that certain figures will only be found on certain cardbacks.
Thanks for the info DJ. I am starting to think that this case is finally solved. Well for me and anyone else who was left wondering![]()
Let us know if you come up with any discrepancies though, Jamie.

You are quite welcome. I am glad I could help. However it is all speculation, and there is always a chance that some one could find some new information, or find a card we thought would not exist. This is just one more reason why the vintage Kenner stuff is so much fun to collect!
Just had a look on Dejeems(?) site. I can definately see a 2-1B 41e with a Boba Fett offer sticker on it.
Strange that it is the only one confirmed so far on more than just 3 of the 41backs. That is if the back shot of that card is right. The punch seems to be damaged the same so I say it is.
Welcome on Clipper-Toys.net
Can't really tell what the yellow wrap around is on though.

I couldn't help but respond to this thread...as I have concerned myself with this question for a long time but now have an answer.
In my book I have a photo (Caption # 7.14) of a Cromalin of the Card Back 41D. Since the book was published I acquired a Cromalin for Card Back 41E. The date and signatures of the QA people (at Kenner) are the same on both Cromalins! To me, this is proof that the 41D and 41E were done at the same time. The listing (see Matrix) of the figures done on the two Backs shows that every other figure was one or the other (A or B / C or D). If you examine the 31- and 32-Back figures on the matrix it becomes clear that the 31A and 31B plus the 32A and 32B and the 41B and 41C were also done on the pairs of Backs. So half of the figures are on one back and half are on another Back.
I hope this is clear--if not, please reply....
John
It's good to see a continued interest in the Cardbacks that are out there!
I haven't been on RS in quite a while but I always enjoy reading a good thread!

John. Just wow. That is awesome, amazing news too me. Thankyou very much for taking the time to come on and read the thread and add your input. Most valuable it is as always.
Well I think we can pretty much wrap this one up folks. And what a way to do it I might say.
Still smiling here.![]()

The Clipper 2-1B 41E is a surprise.
