    M.U.S.C.L.E Men / Z-Bots / Monsters in my Pockets

    Hey guys !

Do you have any memories of these various toy lines ? Did you have some, still do ?

Z-bots were separated in 2 groups of robots (good "Z-bots" vs bad "voids" ā la Transformers). They usually came in 3-packs, and some of them could combine. Vehicles and playsets were also available.

M.U.S.C.L.E Men and Monsters in my Pockets were made in one piece, no articulation, and monochromatic. You could buy them in various packs (4, 10, even more), sometimes in blind packs.

They came in other colors, but nothing was as good as the classic M.U.S.C.L.E. pink!

After some more researches, I found out that in France, the line was called "Comix" and it was a mish-mash of various other lines of mini-figs. There were some M.U.S.C.L.E figs as well as some ninja figures that were part of another set in Japan. Once again, 80-90's distribution of toys was quite chaotic in Europe !

I remember Z bots. I still even have some in my room. Totally forgot the name of them, but I thought they were pretty cool.

    I got WAY into M.U.S.C.L.Es.

Bought lots of the 4 packs, two or three of the 10 packs and was obsessed with the 28 pack (but never got it.) Had a fiery collecting obsession with them for about 6 months in 1986.

The miniature brand I was more into was BATTLE BEASTS. Those were the sh1t.

MUSCLE ruled. I had tons when I was a kid...probably around 200, but stupidly sold them off in the early, primitive days of the internet (no eBay....this was on the AOL action figure message boards. Anyone remember that?). I kind of redeemed myself a few years ago when I bought a big coffee can of them at a flea market for $5. I think I have around 30-40 now.
